There are a lot of grasshoppers, enough that you might be like "man why am I seeing so many grasshoppers" but not enough that there are like literally swarms of them.

May the only grasshoppers you see be drinks.

Online check-in complete and ready to rock! Two and a half hour flight leaves around 2pm Central tomorrow. Allegiant air for just over $200, but paid $50+ for first row extra leg room for D plus we will be first off the plane! HELLO airport slots!... just kidding.

Shoes and bankroll below.
D's birthday last night was a good time, unfortunately lost $400 gambling so the roll is a little lighter than planned, but still sitting at $6,500.

Let's go!

Nit tip as your flying Allegiant.

If you make it downtown there’s supposedly some good matchplay offers like two $25 matchplays at Golden Gate and or The D. Also something like $25 in freeplay for running $50 through at one of the Boyd properties. Also I believe like $10-$1000 in freeplay at the El Cortez.

Check the magazine on the flight for the offers as well as maybe ask Gate agent/attendants.

OP, hope you flying Allegiant means they serve your city directly.

For me to use them, I would have to drive several hours to another city, spend the night, and then catch the flight.

And I would have to make my schedule fit theirs.

I've always sucked at finding or more so looking for these types of things. I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for the tip.

Luckily it is a direct flight from my town. I have done the hours drive for other destinations and you're right, it sucks!

One note believe at least for some of these you need to use it within 24 hours of the flight. If you’ve never been to Golden Gate or The D you’ll probably be surprised. Table games put while small is probably nicer than a lot of strip properties. Use the $25 matchplays in the “high limit” section.

Made it without issue, but I can tell the way this is already going it will be a post trip report. I don't want to waste my time on the phone.
Stay tuned...

Envious of that bankroll. I miss playing poker and the discretionary money.

Have a great time, looking forward to your post trip report.

Had time for a double morgan and coke before and a few titos on the plane to pregame it. Thanks to Da Nit, found the free stuff in the Allegiant book and planned to go downtown to collect.

D's new luggage he bought for the trip. He's obviously a huge Star Wars fan, even though I'm not really it's definitely a pretty badass suitcase.

Check in at Caesars - used the $20 trick to get a bigger room. Super nice room, 2 bathrooms in the palace tower. Great view of the pools and a booty hole cleaner even - never used one before until today, not sure how I feel about it.

Picture of the Raiders stadium as a little bonus, I have my $100 deposit down for season tickets. Hopefully I can scoop some up when they are up for sale.

After checkin we went to Nacho Daddy by PH to get some grub - food looked great but was a huge miss and will not go back. Margaritas were too sweet too so it was a big disappointment. I know I took a picture, but apparently it's gone.... it was happy hour tho so bill was only $41. D took care of it as one of the meals he owed me for losing at darts a few weeks ago.

We both bet the Falcons and only watched about 2 snaps of the whole game - I think the Broncos scored on a 4th and goal from the 14 or something to scoop us.

During the game we headed downtown for the promos through Allegiant - $50 match play was easy to collect. We both bet the $50 plus our $50 on Red plus $5 on 4 black numbers... ball tags a nice green 0 to scoop us again. I bet the last $30 of my buy in back on red and ball hits a black and we move on.

Headed to El Cortez for the promos, got a free drink at the bar, lost the $10 free slot play and then headed to single deck 3-2 BJ. Awesome game and never really go downtown so I honestly didn't know these games still existed in Vegas. I end up losing $100 even though we had 2 shoes with a +7 count... D won about $150 and we hopped back in a lyft to head back to PH to watch the end of the football game... made it back for the last 2 or 3 snaps of the game.

So far down $300 but having a great time.

Oh and saw a lady hit that $1,500 jackpot at PH too. That was pretty cool.

After leaving PH, it was time to crank it up! We went to Ballys for some 1-2 action and started crushing drinks and shots. Service was amazing, almost too good. In total we probably had 40 shots between 8pm and 3am... I was starting to get pretty out of hand so I called it a night, but D kept playing for a few more hours.

Few stories from the session - Dealers were great overall, but we had one who was a little too serious. One hand a guy's AA is cracked by QQ on a Q turn and they get it in, dude who loses just shoved all his chips toward the pot, but kind of all over the table, dealer gets super pissed and calls the floor and I said just give the guy all his chips - dealer goes "sir, let me do my job!" I'm for sure in the wrong here, but just habit as I've dealt a ton of cards in my life prior to my career now.
Floor comes over and dealer states he didn't know how much the guy had and what he did. Floor says give him all the chips then - see I was right. Ha
Floor also says, yeah he (the loser of the pot) is a ****ing hot head.

Hours later I'm 3 sheets and drop some F bombs, not at anyone or being mad, but in casual conversation... as I come back from the bathroom, same floor approaches me in private and asks me to check my language, I say sure, but that he has to acknowledge he used it about the hothead hours ago. He does and we high five and I head back to my seat.

When I get back I explain to D and the table the conversation and D wants to bet $100 that I will say it within the next hour. I take the bet, but he buys out for $13 after 13 minutes. Haha

Some hands of note, don't remember details but cliffs -

I 3 bet with AA in MP, flop Q high with 3 clubs, I have the A of clubs. We end up getting it in on the turn and the guy has QJ with the jack of clubs. I scoop about a $200 or so pot.

I call or raise with QTss and the flop come K high 3 spades. We get it in in the turn and the guys flopped set rivers a boat for like a $250 pot.

The picture is a hand I accidentally exposed and then flopped trips so I just bet whatever into like 10 bucks.

Ended up $100 in poker when I cashed out, but was tipping like a madman - hands I wasn't even in, $10 for $100 pots, etc... I used to make my living dealing so I always over tip, but this was overly excessive. I probably tipped the dealers and the floor between 2-300... I also got a massage and paid with chips. I think I gave the like $65 for 15 minutes or so.

By 230-3am I'm pretty much blacking out and stumbled back to the room and don't even remember the walk back, except I think a lady of the night tried to gentle grab my arm when passing by, I pulled away and finally made it back to the room to crash.

I'm awoken by D coming into the room just cackling away like he heard the best joke ever. I look at the clock and it's 630am and I ask him WTF is so funny... he goes I just lost $2,400 playing BJ! DUDE!!!

We wake up about 11am today and D is still super smashed, he can't remember how he even got back to the room, but now we figured out it was a cab. He lost between $700 and $1000 at poker and he thinks like $15-1800 at BJ, so he's down almost 3k day one! Sucks!

He has always wanted to do the hangover bus so we looked into that, $200 minimum and have to leave the room. Forget that! He finds a company that does room service IVs instead. We order up and have the nurse Benny come to the room an hour or so later. Benny is the absolute nuts! Great dude, great service and a great salesman. Haha.

I just get the basic package for $149 since I'm not feeling that bad anymore, D gets up sold to $300 for some extra juice, vitamins, etc. I think it was a waist of money and did nothing for me, but D says he is feeling better. I did use my HSA card to pay for mine. That's gotta be legit right.?.? It's a medical service? Sucks if not!

Today's plan is to hit up Umiya for some AYCE sushi in an hour or so and we have were able to move our reservation for CUT tonight to 10pm. My aunt drove in from Pahrump so we plan to meet up with her after some sushi.

Game on!

Hydration solutions are HSA eligible so I would imagine hydration services would be too.

Raiders season tickets are already on sale and if you already had your $100 deposit down then you should’ve already been able to pick your seats just an FYI
