Aria Vs Bellagio Vs Flamingo Vs Bally's Aria Vs Bellagio Vs Flamingo Vs Bally's

Hi all,

Going to Vegas for 4 nights.

Already stayed at the Flamingo once. It was free and it was okay overall.

Would like to try somewhere new out

Would have to spend about 800 total at the Bellagio (worth it)?

This is where I am sure I would play at the most by far and I love the location

Aria is about 100 dollars cheaper total (any input here)?

Bally's is one option and about 450 total

Flamingo again would be about 400.

I will be staying alone and only here to really play cash and eat and maybe wal around a little.

Any experience/inputs/tips?

Thank you all!

For lesser money, Aria > Bellagio is a no brained imo. Pretty quick to get from your room at Aria to the Bellagio poker room, but you could also consider playing at Aria at least some of the time.

Both Aria and Bellagio are obviously 1 (or 2) levels above Bally’s and Flamingo. So that decision should be based on your budget.

That's awesome ! So why Aria over Bellagio?

Aria is a nicer hotel than Bellagio.

If you are playing at Bellagio, than it would make sense to stay there for convenience, or if you want to be in the middle of the "scene."

If you want a more quiet, laid-back place to sleep, then Aria is the better choice.

Aria for me, too.

Better rooms.

Better food options.

Better all around property.

Just imo, of course.

But, yet, it's still a must that you check out the B. The ambiance has the Aria by about, let's say, 200% maybe 300% or more.

oh and if you want to go Flamingo or Bally's way, I personally go the Flamingo. Why? Because it's the ****ing Flamingo.

But, seriously, it has more to offer (shows, pool, location imo). Good fast food and quick food but no other food. The poker room can actually be nicely loose and profitable. It's the poker room "where nobody knows your name".

Slightly longer outdoor walk than Bally's tho.

Flamingo also has remodeled rooms, which is an area where Bally's is sorely lacking.

But unless $300 is a significant chunk of your trip BR, Aria seems like the obv choice.

I love the Flamingo poker room. Great games for the most part and I almost always win there.

To be fair, Ballys has just remodelled a bunch of their rooms.

If playing at the Bellagio and you want to save a bit of money consider staying at Vdara. Nice rooms, nice property but you have no choice but to walk to either Bellagio or Aria at a minimum for poker or casino.

In case you missed it from hotel review thread; my 2 cents.

So I went to Vegas last Winter and had 5 free nights at the Flamingo. Played a ton of cash right across the street at the Bellagio. Room sucked at the Flamingo but it was FREE.

I plan on doing another solo trip this coming August and another in December.

I plan on staying 4 nights.

The Flamingo will not be free again it'll be around 400 bucks total

If I stay at the Bellagio it'll be around 800 bucks. Is it worth it?

Should I just wait til mid December to get a better and cheaper rate at the Bellagio.

Any other opinions on where I should stay?

I looked at Aria and Mirage as well.

Goal of the trips is to just play a ton of cash.

The rooms at bellagio are much nicer than the Flamingo; however, I think you can answer the question yourself. During your last trip, when you stayed at flamingo, but played at the bellagio; was it annoying to make the walk back to the flamingo every day/night? Did you do it multiple times a day? I personally like to stay where I play, and I am willing to pay for that convenience. It is just a personal decision.

It will never cease to amaze me how anyone could consider the "walk" in between the Bellagio and Flamingo a problem. It's extremely close, and a pleasant/safe walk as well.

Aria > Vdara> Bellagio > Flamingo > Ballys would be my list. The B interior reminds me of my grandma when she was middle aged.

If playing poker (either daily tourneys or 6 hours of cash per day) both Bellagio and Aria can offer poker room rate (call poker room direct during the weekday business hours). $139/night ($189 on Fri & Sat) plus of course all the taxes & fees.

Another vote for Vdara if that option is open for you. My preferences are Vdara and MGM Signature when I come to town, I very much like the idea of my hotel not being a walk off the casino floor. Although I can say if you're just using the room to sleep, go with Flamingo, use the extra money saved for nicer meals or more to play with.

Ditto Bally's, it's basically the same distance. Bally's is more set back from the strip, but one less bridge to cross over to the Bellagio.

Also the Bally's rooms are all fairly recently remodeled and bigger than most of the Flamingo rooms.
Some people prefer the Flamingo Go rooms, but Bally's rooms are better than Flamingo Fab rooms.

I typically stay at Bally's and play a lot at Bellagio.

If cost doesn't matter, yes, Aria is nicer, and Vdara also nice and a calmer spot.

But none of these choices are bad.

I agree with you; it is a short walk and safe. However, he talked about the rooms sucking at Flamingo; so I was just trying to get more info. on what else he may have found less appealing about staying there; in order to justify the extra cost of the bellagio.

I guess I wasn't quite accurate when I said I prefer to stay where I do most of my play; rather, most of my play just occurs where I play (I have stayed at the Flamingo multiple times and don't mind playing at their little room). I prefer PLO; so tend to stay at the Aria/Vdara/Venetian. However, if its a group trip where I won't be playing much poker; I just end up playing at the end of the night where we are staying.

I agree

That’s a solid approach compared to playing where you don’t play..

Yes, yes! Why bother going to Vegas if you're just going to stay in your hotel the whole time?
Go to AC at the Borgata!

For me I'd stay at Bally's or Aria depending on how much I had to spend. Not into the Flamingo and the Bellagio is older than Aria. The walk, seriously what walk, is a non factor as that's my favorite park of being in Vegas.
