I really hope your impression is WAY more indicative of popular sentiment than is mine.
However, live poker in Las Vegas was on a long term downward trend pre-Covid, I find it difficult to call it "alive and well on the Strip and in Las Vegas", and unaffected by CoVid.
Personally, I believe my sessions since covid came to town are of much shorter duration, even if I'm ahead. At about 1 hour, I'm looking for the exit, regardless.
Conversely, I believe that online poker sites are booming, due to both an attractiveness vis-a-vis live play in casinos (poker or machines), and in some part because of the reduced sports-betting opportunities since March. (I don't play online, so my info comes from public industry sources.)
