At Bellagio I sat and had a beer at the sports book bar as well.

Lol I cant even get the working girls to hit on me at the bar - I mean it would be nice to have to say “no thanks” once in awhile.

Never understood the fascination of strip clubs at the best of times, but throw in the Rona, no thanks.

Casino bars were closed when I was there 3 weeks ago. It was strange to see.

I'm pretty sure condoms are still a thing. But I do wonder how this is affecting the sex workers in general. I mean, if you're seeing clients face-to-face, you're going to contract it at some point. So, are fewer soliciting out of health concerns? Or are there more due to economic desperation? Are they still able to get their usual rates? I saw a story relating to this about Japanese sex workers back in April, but haven't seen any sort of American-facing story, let alone one from Vegas.

I think a bunch of strippers are now delivering food for Door Dash and Grubhub. The last 3 food deliveries I had, the drivers were stunning. And super nice (carrying over the friendliness/customer service they’re used to giving at the clubs).

Palomino was open briefly before shutting down again.

You sure about these? I haven't seen anything that would make this legal or back your statements up.

Clubs in other states have tried to open as restaurants or just bars but they do not have the dancers/stages active. All these clubs remain closed in Vegas AFAIK.

I guess I missed the Palomino post announcing they were closing again. Deja Vu has been open for 2 months and posts on IG. I don't know if it's bar only or if you can get dances but the girls are there.

If I recall correctly, neither holds a liquor license.

I haven't gone by either, but that might be a key variable.....

I’m quite certain Palomino has a liquor license. That was there whole appeal as it’s the only club being fully nude with a liqour license.

My understanding was they opened briefly and where operating a bar not strip clubland I assumed than closed when they shut down bars again.

Friendly strippers? In Las Vegas? And they got day jobs??? No. Just plain no.

The drivers you got are most likely just ex-bartenders (or cocktail waitresses, or golf cart girls, or whatever, you get the picture) that need to make ends meet. There's an entire sub-culture of people out here who work the "locals" bars (think Timbers, etc) that were hit hard by the pandemic. Sure, some of them have gone back to work but a large portion haven't and they are turning to those side gigs to keep the lights on. I don't think any of those re-opened businesses are staffed at pre-pandemic levels and probably wont be for a long time.

I lost one of my neighbors that way. Always came home at 8AM in hot-pants and go-go boots in a Range Rover that she couldn't afford. Business at those bars dried up and she lost her home, had to move her family, etc. It was sad to see but there's a lot of people in Vegas affected like that.

Yeah, theirs is grandfathered in. Deja Vu also serves alcohol, not that I'd normally suggest going there however. They do have a thing with $10 IIRC or maybe $20 entry with open bar for UFC that we've gone to a couple of times that is a good deal.

Times change, at one point fully-nude was not allowed in a place with a liquor license and DejaVu offered fully-nude. (Palomino being grandfathered in.)

DejaVu reportedly now does topless, rather than full-nude and indeed offers liquor..... or so I read on the internet. https://toplessvegasonline.com/venue...-vu-showgirls/

Well, we just got back and it just wasn't the same. No actual bars, no clubs, no shows.... just gambling uncomfortably, dispensaries and eating. Still an awesome trip though. The mask isn't just physically uncomfortable, it's awkward interacting with dealers. You can't tell if they're being rude or not because you can't see their mouth. We're going back on 9/10, any locals have any inside info if anything will be opened up by then?

I expect that lounge act entertainment, with table service for drinks will be able to open.

Rumor has it, from another thread, and local news reporting, that there will be "known prostitutes" around town

Bring your golf clubs if you are coming this fall. That's a good option once the heat subsides.
