I can't remember. Had a bunch of other sci-fi stuff in there. Couldn't have been that far from ReBar as that was the last stop, and we walked to it from there.
after running it up in PLO, Asian gambler waiting for a 5/5 PLO seat sits down and immediately begins blasting. I pick up AAQ9ss vs him, get it heads up on a flop of:
KT7, with a nut flush draw for me. It all goes in, we run it twice, he ends up with 2 pair on both boards and I don't improve. There goes all our PLO profit, a win there results in a +1200 swing for me. So it goes.
Some other pics from football:
mmm peppermill muffins
some VP while we waited for our PLO seat:
not bad. can we keep it going?
result:
nice +900 there.
had a nice dinner at craftsteak that night thanks to the bacc players comp. he ended up +10k for the trip. not bad.
switched to an earlier flight home because getting home at 2am then up with the kids at 6:30 would have been hell. had a 7:30am with a layover in Chicago initially, southwest prices kept changing hourly, woke up at 4am and saw the 6am flight dropped in price and was direct. grabbed it, got 5k SW points refunded, raced over to the airport and made it in time.
every flight I took or my friends took was packed. this one, no exception. end of the B boarding group, saw a window seat, asked the guy in the aisle if I could grab it. He asked if it was just me, I said yes, and I slid over. Had a ticket in the seat holder reserving the middle seat.
I expected someone to sit there. No one ever did -- right after the doors closed I realized this gentlemen, of the heavy set variety, reserved 2 seats for himself. So it was a much more pleasant ride on the way home -- great hit at the end of the trip there.
Got back to the car, headed out of long term parking at $8 a day, and somehow got charged $52 for a 6 day stint. Not sure how that worked out, but I'll eat the $-4.
0 for 3 in the tournaments and could have easily had a better fate/much improved profit for the trip. The O/8 S/8 tournament, while only $200, was by far the most tilting due to the ******* players constantly starting **** with the dealer, as well as the atrocious S/8 play I never got hands to take advantage of mid/late tournament.
Hearing the players say to the dealer/floor with an attitude "this is OUR tournament, we can do what we want", and just being dicks in general .. well, that's people for you. Fortunately the floor had some backbone and pushed back, but the abuse of the dealers, who are doing the best they can and don't deal split pot games that often (particularly S/8), and have to deal with players constantly trying to "help" by criticizing how they are stacking up the pots, taking bets back in quartered pots, etc etc .. just shut up and let the dealers do their job.
Aside from that, great trip. Wish I could some more pics and tapatalk didn't throttle me at the end there.
