I realized my shallow ways needed to change after time spent with a girl I was recently seeing. This girl couldn’t count to 4 if you spotted her the 1 and the 2. Very sweet girl, just not all "there" mentally. We were at a party once when someone asked her how many beers were in a dozen. She began counting it out on her fingers…Cue the epiphany!
Rereading the journey and had to express my appreciation for this piece of literary gold.
I finally finished it. What a sick, sick read. I think it is amazing how open you were with your stories. You may come to regret how honest you were in some of your entries. I think almost anyone that would go back and read something they wrote that was so personal and transparent would have at least a tinge of regret. It takes an amazingly actualized person to probably not regret it at all.
From a literary piece; it was well written and you had me as a ready pulling for you along the way. When I told myself I would just read one more entry so I could get back to work, if the entry was about a big losing session, I rarely stopped. I had to keep reading to find out that you had yet another big day of profit.
However, lets put the amazing poker stories aside. Your journey, and your insight and commentary along the way, are great life lessons. Like the father that thanked you for giving his son inspiration to pursue soccer, you most definitely have helped a lot more people that you will probably ever realize.
Again, thanks to drbeechwood for making it easily accessible.
