Since I'm still only on page 38, I don't know if this was already brought up in an earlier reply but this reads out like a modern retake of Rounders. Miami Matt is like the online poker era version of Matt Damon's character. Matt Moore's writing perfectly captures the experience and character/thoughts of the archetypal semi pro poker player of the post-Moneymaker/ESPN era, I can identify.

Don't know much about movie making but IMO this could be the basis of a rounders 2. Find Matt Salzberg or some major Hollywood guy in the poker world and see what they say. Try a pitch to turn this into an indie script of sorts. This Thread (these TRs)+Rounders+Catcher in the Rye+some added Hollywood glam. I'd watch it.

Maybe find the guy who wrote rounders and actually plays the 10/20 occasionally at Bellagio with Matt and see if he wants to use it.....

Yes, I linked to his blog as well. Having it all as one document makes it more like a book, which you can read offline, and in fact it is interesting to read the whole thing from start to finish, to see his evolution as a poker player.

I'm pretty sure this is total BS. He was recently seen on "Poker central's" YouTube Chanel in the Brian Rast Vs Sorell Mizzi fight hanging out with other "Bellagio Regulars"...

I had hoped that compiling this would inspire him to add some new chapters to the story. It's interesting how he went from sharing so many details of his life in Vegas playing poker...to the occasional update about poker results...to nothing. I figured that he eventually decided it was -EV to keep posting his hands and strategy and talking about his bluffing spots, but I don't really know.

I've only read about a third of it, but unless the play gets better he's going to have a lot of trouble. He seems capable of turning everything but the nuts into a bluff.

What's hard to understand? He got bored with writing the updates. He's reach the highest levels. Once you reach Mount Everest, the thrill of writing about it isn't so thrilling anymore.
