These days, without being able to play real money online, I come to 2+2 just for Matt's thread. Probably don't need to come back here again until the US can play online.....someday......maybe.....I'll probably be dead by then.

Thank you everybody for the advice. We are working very hard on the website as we speak. We probably launched a little bit too early but there were reasons we needed to get it out there. Copy/pasting the card suits from 2p2 to the website has given us more trouble than we anticipated. The next step is an archive for the posts and a date on all of them as well. I don't think we will change them from running from current to past, but there will be an archive to make it easy to search past posts.

The problem here is that Matt isn't obligated to post so he only does it when he feels like it. That is fine for him or whatever but he should really take into account how we feel. It genuinely isn't fair that he developed this huge following and when it has grown to what it is he just quits us. Great thread with amazing stories but he should keep it up or let us know hes quitting us. Seems like the right thing to do. Either way, Ive loved this thread a wish him well.

He's been entertaining us for free for years now. I don't think it's fair at all to say that he quit us or that he should take into account how we feel. It's pretty fair if he wants to quit, though it obviously would be disappointing because we love to hear his stories. Either way: I don't think he is quitting. I assume getting this website going is a great deal of effort and hopefully he'll get into a groove where he can start updating more regularly for its survival. But it's not fair to judge him based on how someone feels when he doesn't post. He is not responsible for your happiness, just his own. Hopefully for us it will be a positive experience for him to keep posting. Otherwise, he doesn't need to.

I just think he should let us know hes done or try to update at least semi regularly. I agree though that he has entertained us for free and who could ask for much more. Just feels like when he "made it" he decided we werent worth his time. That sounded a litlle harsher than I mean it but its not that far off. He doesnt owe us anything, if anything we owe him. Just seems like he would give us a little more since he knows we are wanting it. If he wants to charge a couple bucks for the read id be fine with that. Again,im absolutly not judging his character or anything like that. I just think we are entiltled to closure or keep the stories coming.

Sometimes I write things and Im not happy with the way they turned out. This has happened maybe five times and twice in the past two weeks. It's frustrating and discouraging and typically keeps me from writing for awhile. Though I guess if everyone just wants to know whats going on with me, that's fair enough, I'll post them anyways.

I also understand where your coming from Matt. As someone who writes as a hobby and is super competitive with himself, writing something you know is sub-par and then putting it out in the world for everyone to see is tantamount to agonizing torture.
