He looks familiar to me, to...I'm sure I've played poker with him at some point. Well, not sure...

Dealing with UNLV students who were there...still trying to make sure all my students are safe and not victims.

He looks like a generic white guy to me. I probably couldn't tell the difference between him and David Sklansky if I met them both for a just a brief moment and saw them a week later.

Have you ever seen him and Sklansky in the same room together? Hmm...

Wynn has metal detectors at every door? They must go off like crazy then. And there is no signage saying you can't bring metal or guns into the place. I'd bet 95%+ people have enough metal in their luggage to set them off when they enter the Wynn.

IIRC, Katana did say in his epic thread that that Wynn employs plain-clothes security in his hotels. That's interesting that they're just hanging around by the doors watching people.

There's plain clothes security/patrol in every casino period. And while they may not apprehend you, they are trained to alert people who will.

It's probably more of a PR move than anything given their high end clientele. Wynn has gotten a lot of press about this, but will likely get little to no press when they scale this back. Worth noting they have their new shopping mall opening in a few months that will need plenty of foot traffic.

Worth noting, a lot of casinos up'd security after 9/11 and that got rolled back. I believe Bellagio didn't allow cars to park under the hotel for an extended period. (valet)

I did not notice that, although I can't remember if I rented a car on those trips. I did visit Vegas often right afterward because prices were low.

It's actually the reason their poker room moved to Encore because the mall will feed into that part of the casino. I think their long term plan is hopes of more foot traffic from Elon and Resorts World or dare I say Fountainblue..

Essentially Wynn just wanted to connect its resort with the resort being built across the street. It's 75,000 square feet which means it's the exact same size as Wynn Esplanade which is the shopping center you walk through when you walk to Wynn from Palazzo.

Wonder if you'll be able to get in for free. Wynn is the only place I've ever heard of that charged a fee to walk into a Ferrari car dealership.

Bizarro second interview with shooter's brother. Makes it seem like he was an advantage player, but also seems very confused (justifiably) as well.

Apparently we've already entered the phase of crazed conspiracy theories. Seen a ton of BS about a second shooter (just reflections against the windows) and Drudge Report now making whatever Alex Jones thinks it's main story line now.

As far as I know yes, but Wynn has mentioned several times Wynn Park or whatever they're going to call it will have an entrance fee for everyone including guests. That project has changed so many times over the past 18 months and is already a year behind schedule so who knows. It's gone from one hotel tower to five back down to one or two. (you'll probably hear more updates on their next earnings call)

Does anybody know if the shooter had a 2+2 account? If admins know I assume they can't/won't reveal it until the investigation is complete.

Someone suggested in a previous thread that he made it to day 3 of this years Main Event but that was proven to be false.

I'd like to hear from GBV on the shooter's AP methods and getting top tier comps.

Isn't VP pretty much solved? This guy has spreadsheets and algorithims but he couldn't he just go on Wizard of Odds? lol.

They said on tv he had stayed downtown a couple weeks earlier in a room overlooking the Life is Beautiful concert thing that Neeme mentioned. They don't know if it was for "practice" purposes or for some reason he decided to abort. Yikes.

The Sheriff said they found another players card in his possession which is a typical AP method to get comps. I imagine it was girlfriends. He also said they have footage of him gambling the day of.

All his neighbors said his house looked like college dorm room with hardly any furniture. A hallmark of all the degens I know.

I don't mean to be disrespectful but the world is trying to find out his motive which as of today there is none

Honestly not sure why they would work too hard or spent too much trying to figure out a motive.

Mostly cause it provides the thin veneer of control and gives our not so evolved brains the causation they crave

So it can be properly politicized.

P4b,

I read in two accounts that he tried to get specific rooms at two places for life is beautiful, but those suites were all booked. So the Airbnb he got was probably not a favorable vantage point for his plans.
