First bet of the weekend - courtesy of Cosmo roulette!

That Kansas state line is first half only, kind of hard to tell from the ticket.

Top golf was exceptional - had a blast now headed to the strip for dinner - craft steak got nixed because we decided against 80$ steaks - oh well maybe next time.

Look at that beautiful swing - probably a hole in one

The righty clubs were callaway x hot, which are pretty nice. The lefty clubs were brand "topgolf" - no not top flite. It was kind of funny, it's not a big deal though it's all for fun.

I will say that as an avid golfer they do a great job keeping it interesting for beginners and golfers, the zones have about 5 different levels so you can get 3-6 points based on how close to the target you get. So for beginners they just want to hit it into the zone but better golfers might come down to how close to the center you hit.

Nope, my bad! Bad timing and I try to keep the vlog low key at the table. Was an awkward time for everyone's attention to be on me. I froze up a little from your over the top intro

Nice meeting you tho!

Look at the payouts for the Royal Flush. 5 coins is 25% more bet than 4 coins, but gets you 400% more on the payout. I think that math is right, either way you will kick yourself if you hit the Royal but miss on the big payout. Same with slot machines, you can't win that big jackpot without max bet.

Best time I've had at a poker game - watermelon vodkas never disappoint and the entertainment courtesy Mad Money Mike was top notch. Also good to end 400 in the green, one interesting hand I had T9 in a multiway pot that checked thru a flop of K83 then turn T second diamond gets a bet and call I raised thinking they are not strong but they both call, river blanks out but first guy goes all in for about 80 second guy folds and I call and mhig vs his T6.

Sounds terrible but I'd been playing with him for about an hour and had seen him bluff before and play somewhat loose. Was a good bluff I almost folded but ended up making the call which worked out this time!

Some pictures from the past 24 hours

Last night for dinner we opted for Bobbys burger place which was exceptional - I had the blue cheese burger and Joe Mike and pops had the breakfast burger and the Carolina and were all very pleased.

This morning we went to hash house somewhat early around 7a since joes flight was at 10. Always a great breakfast, I had the quesadilla my dad had a waffle and Joe had a scramble. Highly recommend this place and at 7a it wasn't crowded which was nice.

Huge portions!

Then Joe left and my dad went back to his room but i didn't want to go back to bed after that 2000 calorie meal so I decided to just walk the strip and enjoy the nice morning.

Until later and thanks for reading!

Didn't make it past 9p last night but slept well got up at 6a this morning and took a nice jog, google maps says about 4 miles which is nice, didn't go very fast but it was good to get the heart pumping from something besides the roulette wheel. Also Vegas in the morning is always serene to me.

I woke up to find my Clemson bet didn't cover due to some atrocious play calling, and the other bets also didn't turn out very well. Oh well, kind of stinks but I had a great time at the sports book.

This morning after the jog I was going to play some blackjack til Mike woke up but the table was 50min and I wasn't ready for that yet, so I sat roulette and dusted off 500 in about an hour. Then my dad joined me and we got some breakfast at hash house again, which was excellent.

This was the sage chicken their most popular dish, for good reason!

Checked out, everything went fine they tried to keep the resort fees on but got them removed again.

Then we went to sushi rok and picked out some nfl season bets, pictures to come. Hopefully these go better than the college bets!

Sushi rok was great the sushi was excellent, Cosmo roulette paid for the meal, and we got 2 sake's courtesy the excellent bartenders. Really recommend the place.

Toro (fatty tuna) was excellent, still had a slight fishy taste at the beginning, but it quickly left and the rest was a great umami flavor

After going through the various casinos placing the sports bets we used the drink tickets then moved on to the blackjack tables for the last hour or so before the airport. Nothing eventful, things get kind of hazy since we'd been drinking sake since 11a, I think we ended about even. Then we made our way back to the linq, picked up our baggage, and got an uber to the airport. Quick plug for uber, it is so much better and cheaper than a cab. Cars are better, drivers are nicer and better drivers, and it is significantly cheaper than a taxi.

Anyways going through security at 6p on Sunday night before Labor Day there was no line at all which was great. Gave us 30 minutes for our final brewskis at the airport bar before I boarded my plane and Mike made his was to his gate for his, which departed about an hour later.

Overall we had a blast and I can't wait til the next trip!

Until next time, Vegas! And thanks for reading

hey all - i wanted to give a quick update on the NFL bets since we're about 1/2 way through the season, and also plant the seed for the next Vegas adventure!

In order of worst shape to best shape:

Cowboys under 8.5 - with the Cowboys currently 7-1, this bet is in the ICU at the hospital, and the city just got bombed and is now on fire. The only reason I haven't cut this bet into tiny little pieces is because I can't find the scissors.

Broncos under 8.5 - the Broncos are at 6-3 and, although they are 2-3 in their last 5 games, odds are greatly in their favor they will win at least 3 of their last 7. Not good!

Saints under 7 - the Saints started 0-3 and I was dancing a jig, but the football gods changed their moods and the Saints are now 4-4 and running hot. The Panthers falling on their face this year was not expected and that might be the spoiler of this bet. I'm hoping for a tie or a miracle here.

Steelers under 10 - On the other hand, the Steelers started hot at 4-1 and have since stumbled to 4-4. Although their remaining schedule includes the Browns twice, I'm crossing my fingers for a win here but it definitely could still tie.

Raiders over 8.5 - sitting at 7-2, this bet is as close to a lock as they get. I tried cashing it in, but the sportsbook isn't taking it, which I can't understand.

Mad Money Mike and I have managed to secure a Vegas trip early 2017 to cash whichever sports bets pull through, and luckily January 7-10 was open, and happens to fall on the College FB National Championship game. Got the nights comped at Harrah's so will be staying there, and will be betting the Nat'l Champ, along with NFL playoffs. Of course, this is in addition to the standard fare of gambling, poker, and boozing.

See you in January!

1/7 - 1/10/2017 Vegas Semi-live TR #2

The day has finally arrived! I arrive in Vegas around 5:30p local time, and Mike shortly before then.

I won't bore everyone with a long whine of the NFL bets, but let's just say nothing worked out and the rip up party has 3 guest apperances.

Rip up party attendees:
Cowboys (under 8.5, finished with a ton of wins) - this one will be ripped up first as it is the easiest to let go - the Cowboys steamrolled the league and crushed the under of 8.5 by week 10. Figures we bet the under on the 1 rookie QB that dominates the league.

Steelers (under 10, finished 11-5) - These last 2 were extremely frustrating and we will get much enjoyment from ripping into tiny little pieces. The Steelers were 4-5 with 7 games to play, needing to lose only 1 game to tie the bet (under 10), and 2 to win it. However, they proceeded to win 7 straight, including an OT win in week 17 where the Browns refused to win the game.

Broncos (under 8.5, finished 9-7) - The Broncos looked dead at 6-2, then 8-4, but then lost 3 straight to get to 8-7 but then faced the Raiders without Derek Carr to end 9-7 and beat the under of 8.5 in the final week. Another coulda-woulda-shoulda!

Not attending the rip up party:
Raiders (over 8.5, finished with a ton of wins) - I wish all the bets were like this, the Raiders got hot and didn't stop, easily clearing the over and securing the one and only win of the season.

Saints (under 7, finished 7-9) - Although I didn't get a win, and the tie came down to the last game of the season, I am happy to say the Saints will not be attending the rip up party.

OK well that went a little longer than expected, sorry about that.

Anyways we arrive today (Sat evening) and depart Tuesday morning, with plans for the following:

- Watching and betting on NFL playoffs and the CFB championship

- Hitting the links 1x (got a tee time set for either Sun or Mon AM)

- Poker: looking to get in a few good 1/3 sessions (if I have the liquid courage I might drop some money off at a 2/5 or some limit game) and maybe one of the Venetian tournaments Sunday PM.

- Blackjack, roulette, and whatever other pit games look interesting

- Food: (Thanks in advance to gobbo) Here is the current list:
- Delmonico (steak)
- Umiya (sushi)
- Hash House (huge breakfast, becoming a ritual)
- I'm sure we'll hit a burger joint (I like Bobby's but we'll see)

Staying at Harrah's. Will do my best to keep it semi-live like last time. A couple of pics forthcoming.

One time!
