Hi all,
I've been browsing this subforum for a while now but this is my first chance to finally contribute. I know I probably won't spend 30min a day typing up a full summary, so I'll plan on saving that for once I return (I have found a voice recorder app on my phone and plan to use that). But, I do hope to use tapatalk to post some pictures and smaller updates during the trip.

On to the trip itself:
Me - I arrive Wednesday PM and depart Sunday PM
Joe - arrives Wednesday PM and departs Saturday AM
Mike - arrives Thursday PM, departs Sunday PM
My dad (Pops) - arrives Thursday PM, departs Sunday midday

All of us are staying at the Linq. We are all around 30 (+/- 3 years), except my dad of course.

The trip revolves around Saturday and the main opening day of CFB. We'll definitely spend most of the day donating our money to various Sportsbooks (can't wait to check out the Cosmopolitan sportsbook and see if its remodel is as good as it looks). I'll also probably make some NFL full season bets too.

Anyway this is getting kind of long so here's a list in no particular order of other things we're planning on doing:
-Stratosphere amusement park (never been)
-Top Golf
-O'Sheas
-lots of poker (1/3 NL) and pit games (bj, craps, and roulette)
-mixed drinks with watermelon juice at Aria (best free drinks in Vegas imo)
-sportsbooks as said earlier
-Hash House, Budweiser Beer Park, Holsteins, and Yard House
-Craftsteak for 1 nice meal

I'll figure out tapatalk and picture posting of my unimpressive kicks on Wednesday.

T-minus 3 days!

Today is the day - had a little trouble sleeping but I consider it Vegas warm up. Arrive around 7p Vegas time then will check in at the linq, meetup with Joe, and get our gamble and drink on. Shoe test pic:

Run good started already got room upgrade and resort fees comped. First bet was even as planned so won 100$ which paid for Holsteins which was delicious, especially love the beer selection. Will post a few pics once I get back at the room and have wifi. Currently at PH playing some bj

Had a fast / slow / fast night. Started up 100 which paid for dinner but afterwards lost quite a bit at planet Hollywood, then even more at Cromwell blackjack, but won it all back at linq blackjack and ended the night up 225. Bedtime now

Was able to get back to sleep thankfully, by putting on some always sunny in philly. Time to grab some breakfast and either hit the stratosphere rides as planned or pull a detour for more gamble. Pops and Mike get in later today, pretty pumped!

Just did the stratosphere - holy **** I can't believe it took 4 trips to do the rides at the top - totally worth it. The roulette wheel was kind to us again so the rides were on the house. Chilling with the great view for now then will head back to the strip and see what comes next. More pics when I get back on wifi but have to post one for now

Ooeee got beat up a little bit this afternoon - shot some pool and played some video poker at the linq Tag bar (thanks to Leon) - one of the games was keno which was a mistake. Ended down 40 which is fine I was expecting to lose because even at JOB I had know idea strategy wise. Then we headed out and made a stop at the Venetian where we proceeded to get fleeced at casino war and roulette for 400 bones. By this time pops had landed so we headed back to linq to try and get his resort fees waived but no dice. Made 100 at linq BJ, just took a quick nap, and now we are gonna grab sushi then hit the poker tables at Wynn. Mike comes in a bit later and I'll hopefully be able to post a chip porn pic. Until later!

Good start to trip report. How did you get resort fees waived?

Ended up 150 thanks to being on the right side of a flush vs straight. En route to pick up Mike then back to Wynn and who knows from there where the night will take us!

Resort fees are comped for diamond or 7 seven star members so I just showed it and asked.

Bet max next time instead of betting 4 in vp. Also hit up yardhouse happy hour since you're right there, best happy hour (food wise) in vegas imo.

Is there a specific reason for the bet max? Just curious. Definitely a good idea about yardhouse their draft beer selection is top notch. Will try to keep that in mind

Well looking back at yesterday it is pretty hazy but luckily we took some good voice notes I believe. I know we got to bed at 5a, and I'm moving pretty slow right now but it's time to roll so we'll see where the morning takes us.

Quick notes we played pool at the linq then Caesars for blackjack and roulette. Looking at the wallet it appears I ended even for the day, which overall is +200 for the trip this far which i am very pleased about. A few random pics
