-Hello 2+2, LVL has always been one of my favorite threads on this forum.. this is my fourth trip to Vegas, and I have always wanted to post a TR but I have never had the motivation blah blah same story as everyone else. I have benefited from so many bad ass Trip Reports, it is my turn to pay it forward and help someone w less experience and exposure to Sin City than I.

I went solo for a week last June, I did not play any bracelet events. Lots of cash, a few Daily Deepstacks and Aria Nightlies. It was a great trip to get my feet wet, you really find out who you are as a poker player and a person on a long solo trip to Vegas in the middle of the summer. I feel tons more prepped for this trip than I was last, I have been planning since January and as I am typing this my flight leaves in ~75 hours!

Trip Itinerary-

-OKC ---> LV Flight departs OKC @ 0635 CST arrives in LV @ 0605 PST

-Staying 6/9-6/15, flight departs LV @ 1815 Friday evening (wedding the following Saturday back in OKC and then Fathers Day is on my pops B day this year so I had to cut the trip a wee bit short) (Flight covered via Southwest RR points, if you don't have the SW chase credit card I highly recommend.. I have more pts than I know what to do with)

Saturday 6-9 I will be staying @ The Vdara. Booked via Hotwire ($267.71 total including resort fee)

The rest of my journey I will seek refuge @ Harrahs.
-I am TR Platinum (Thanks to the TR credit card) and got Sun-Thu comped.

Harrahs total ($192.75 including resort fee)

-Of course the comp is for the madi gras room, but I have heard good things about just asking for an upgrade to the valley tower at checkin.. they sent me an email the other day offering upgrades, but VT was something like plus 60 dollars a night.. I might try the twenty dollar trick, but I tell myself that all the time lol. I do think that Harrahs is prob the best place to try it at tho.

Last year for my solo trip was my first time having a rental car in Vegas, I feel like that is a must have now.. it is such a great way to just get away, get some cold air on your face, listen to music, smoke, eat, etc.. a rental is just the way to go. Booked via Hotwire, Toyota Corolla ($194.63 total.)


Some things I did not think about brining last year that I absolutely will this year:

-Hand wipes
-Aromatherapy (Essential oils, bringing both my diffuser and some lotions I have)
-Pillow from home
-Pre workout/Protein/Creatine/Vitamins (Plan on purchasing weekly pass @ LVAC)
-Rungood

Poker Agenda:

Saturday- Try to get in one of those soft STT w the Trooper and chop for 1k

Sunday- Use said 1k +500 and play flight b of the Milly Maker @ 10 am.

Monday- (If busted from milly) MSPT 1 mil GTD/40 min levels/3Day/$600/20k SS

Tuesday-PH Ultimate Goliath Monster-Stack 500k GTD/40 Min Levels/3Day/$600/20k SS

Everything is obviously subject to change, hopefully I run pure in the Milly!

The only other thing I must do is 1/1 PLO @ Flamingo!!! I would also like to get out to Red Rock one day to play there.

I will be flying out there on 6/29-7/3 with a good poker buddy of mine and I’m counting down the days! I will play the $365 NL And PLO Giant as well as Venetian/Daily Deep Stack events with some cash games/PLO sprinkled in between.

Flight boards at 535 CST, right at 5 hours from right now. I got off work around 11, showered and made one final sweep, running through my check list. Never have a I ever under packed. I am ready. 1000% more prepared and confident than I was this time last year.

-Anyways regardless of how prepared I am there is a sub zero percent chance of me being able to fall asleep tonight, soo here I am for the next few hours.

Bad beat is currently $188k quads have to be beaten, both hole cards have to play. Would consider missing my flight and rescheduling for the floor to pay me out

1. It's Harrah's. Save yourself the $20.

2. Koepka is old news now at 22/1. By the time you get here he wont be 22/1. While I wouldnt dissuade you from that pick necessarily, there are other picks at better odds.

Yes white shoes def overkill, but I just got the Jack Purcell's, so I gotta take em.. the other Chuck's are my go to for max comfort. The white athletic shoes are what I wear to the gym.. I'm tacky

Aaaaaand we made it. Got maybe 30 minutes of sleep on the plane. Ended up down 245 last night. Local spewtard sat down on my right w 1300 and was playing ridiculous, at one point he called an all in for 293 dollars w 107hh lol. Unfortunately, I was unable to benefit from his ridiculous play. I left the poker room at 415, got the airport right at 5 and here it is 8 am Vegas time.

-Vdara check in isn't untill 3 so it's going to be a long day for me. Already made a stop at pisos for a pre roll and a cartridge. Currently @ blueberry hill. Unsure where I will head after this..

Blueberry hill was delish tbh.. I was sofa king exhausted after, I couldn't even hold my eyes open..pulling all nighters is not my cup of tea, I love my sleep. I def didn't wanna play poker on no sleep, so off to the TI parking garage for go for a nice little 4 hour nap cuddled up in the back seat w my blanket and a hoody

I feel like a million bucks now! Time for some hardcore OG.. I guess I'll just wait till after I check in to the Vdara before I hit up the Rio for a $175 STS.

Vdara is very nice, however it is incredibly inconvenience to get here. There is no self park, only valet. I just parked at the Aria garage and took the tram. I'll eat the 9 dollar parking fee.. just took a sbower, feeling good. Going to get some food and then head to the Rio to try and play the single table sattys

Poker yesterday did not go v well at all, this meal was definitely the highlight of the day. AYCE @ Umiya.. ridiculous fast service and delicious fish, I will probably be back before I leave lol..

In my opinion, the Valley tower at Harrah's is well worth the upgrade from the Mardi Gras rooms.
