Love seeing and following along with these TRs – got the green light at home to get a WSOP weekend in this year. Did a Vegas weekend for poker in January this year and prior was a WSOP 2021-Fall version.

Couldn’t convince any friends to travel along – will be meeting up with a couple people that I know are out there if schedules allow. My agenda so far:
6/14 (Wed) – arrive in Vegas 6PMish, check in and venture to WSOP for some cash and to check it out.
6/15 (Thu) – cash games, maybe resorts world, Wynn or whatever else looks OK
6/16 (Fri) – Aria $800 Seniors. I’m not a tourney player but kinda a bucket list thing to try a larger tourney. S score on this not great, but I understand as much and part of the reason it’s not great is 30 minute blinds and tourney starts 11AM and finishes in one day.
6/17 (Sat) – cash games
6/18 (Sun) – leave early AM flight
This trip all about poker….not too concerned about any fancy food (will likely conflict with poker), other than maybe a good breakfast/brunch to start the day. Not one to drink much at all/imbibe.
Not renting a car – looking for some help picking a place….wants are on strip, clean and safe. Will be OK with no room service in the 3ish days.
So far I’m looking at:
Polo Towers (reviews are OK, closer to strip than…) $600
MGM Signature (reviews are pretty good) $800ish
Resorts World poker rate $800ish (not sure I want to be forced to play 5 hrs / day), plus if I want to play anywhere other than RW or Wynn I’m definitely cabbing/uber
1st two would allow walk if I wanted to Aria/WSOP without a ton of hassle.
A couple hundred dollars big picture shouldn’t really matter – I just enjoy the hustle of trying to find a deal. My flight was booked with credit card points – I have no muscle with player cards, only play poker and not in Vegas that often (so comps aren’t a thing).
