God what a freaking joke. The ultimate we have no idea what we are doing so lets make it look like we are doing something productive, political theatre at its finest.

That’s true but was it ever realistic? People eat bad diets, they drink and drive, they do drugs, **** they literally are even dumb enough to shoot each other. Not getting a vaccine is another dumb choice added to the list. In other words, people not getting the vaccine is normal behavior because humans make a lot of bad choices even when they can be greatly affected by those choices.

It would be shocking if everyone did get the vaccine. Even before the pandemic there was a ton of misinformation about vaccines too. I saw people say they would rather get sick with measles than get a shot for it.

And unfortunately, trying to push people into getting it doesn’t often have the desired effect. Some people dig in their heels and become even more stubborn when others try to help them over and over again. It’s sort of like talking to a brick wall.

Besides the masks, are there other mandates associated with the new guidelines? Social distancing (limiting numbers at gaming tables?), clubs, bars open or closed? Limited capacity, etc.

So much of the Vegas draw isn't just poker.

A lot of the people not getting shots btw are young people. At night on the Vegas Strip I do see a huge younger crowd for the most part with very few masks.

Here's a hypothetical. Let's say close to 100% were vaccinated. If people were still getting hospitalized and dying, would everyone still be ok with mask mandates and reduced occupancy rates?

Because while being vaccinated reduces the symptoms, it does not protect you from being immune or spreading the virus which leads to new variants.

My question is, at what point do we just deal with it like the seasonal flu and have a yearly Covid vaccine? What's the end game?

Don't you understand? If even one person will die, we must shut down all of society indefinitely to prevent it! Anything else would be putting a price on a life, and we all know that's not allowed.

Won't someone please think of the children! Oh wait, children don't die of it? How inconvenient... won't someone please think of the imuno-compromised centenarians!

Hypothetical?

Why not force the mouth breathers to get the vaccine first? Those covid deniers are forcing Governors to reinstate mask mandates to slow the spread, so hospitals have a chance to handle the flow of sick people.

This outrage of wearing a mask for part of the day shows how weak this country is. Pathetic.

Hospitals aren't even close to being over run.

2 weeks to slow the spread has turned into over 1 year to slow the spread. Governments are also forcing kids to wear masks even though kids aren't really at risk from COVID.

If you suggest COVID requirements, I think we should have requirements for people to order McDonalds, Wendy's, or any other fast food. Obesity kills a lot more people then COVID. In fact many/most COVID deaths are because people are over weight.

But you can’t catch obesity from an obese person breathing on you amirite?

True. If vaccines were hidden in fast food french fries and chicken sandwiches we'd been at heard immunity long ago

Just remember right before the last election when Kamala Harris said that she wouldn’t take the vaccine if Trump was president lol

Apparently vaccinated people who have the delta variant but be asymptomatic could still be infectious.

And that’s my point. All these people are putting the blame on unvaccinated people only. Vaccinated people are also spreading it as well.

Which was my hypothetical. If everyone was vaccinated, this Delta variant would still be spreading. So then what? Still going to reimplement the mask mandates and other protocols? Because at that point, there is no end game. Masks forever.

I try not to say bad things about people, but you two are idiots.

In Nevada 55% of those over 18 are fully vaccinated, and over 1,000 people are currently hospitalized with Covid. As a result there are now mask mandates here.

In Vermont, 78% of those over 18 are fully vaccinated, and only 2 people in the whole state are currently hospitalized with Covid. Vermont has no plans for reinstating any mask mandates.

If we truly desire freedom from facemasks in Nevada, more of us need to get vaccinated.

Not disagreeing with you, but absurd comparisons like this aren't going to help your cause...

Vaccinated people have gotten Covid. People previously with Covid, have been infected again. So please explain how the Delta variant would not be spreading. Does the vaccine prevent virus mutations?

But they wont. Stupidity is sad.

I'm drawing a blank. Can you provide a reference of her saying that, one which includes the full context as well? Thanks in advance.
