Nope, Caesar kicked my but too. We needed the 2 for the small bonus, didn’t happen and we’re down another $500.

Ballys was too crowded so I went next door to Paris. I bought in for $400 which grew to this. and then this
. And then this

I cashed out $1750. This is why I’m a craps degen.

The rest of the day was up and down, mostly down. I managed to leave with $2k cash. Unfortunately, I took out $3k from atms yesterday and today. I hit several small (or tall) craps bonuses but never the all, missing by one number twice. I never saw the fire bet offered anywhere so I guess I’ll give up on it on future trips. My parlay sports bets were only half right, so no money there. I only played the one tourney and no cash there either. So I guess I’m a loser for this trip. Good thing my real life is great and I’m far from being a bum. Thanks for following along, sorry to those who didn’t enjoy it.

Enjoyed the TR. I don't think anyone said you were a bum. It's just your chip-leader-to-bust tourney ride had them channeling Brando from On the Waterfront.

Nothing better than a hot run with the dice. Do you shoot yourself? Did you win money while shooting? Do you use a set up?

I enjoyed the quickie TR! My kind of trip with a lot of craps and some poker sprinkled in. Steak and egg special did look good. I'll have to remember that next time.

Where did you stay?

I do shoot. I did have some nice runs when I was shooting. But I also 7’d out immediately after setting the point a couple times. I tried setting the dice on a couple previous trips and the results were terrible. I’d set for hardways and roll a seven every time, completely opposite of what I wanted. Overall I had a great time playing craps this weekend. The highs were high and the lows were low and unfortunately there were more lows than highs, but it happens that way sometimes. Hopefully the next time will be better.

Planet Hollywood this time. The room was nice but nothing special.[IMG]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180911/18f1e360f6225bce5590515e075dd315.jpg[/ It seemed to be newly renovated and was very spacious. I used the soaking tub a little before I left and it was nice, very deep. I play a lot at cet properties and get free rooms all the time, and I’m diamond so no resort fees. I used a myvegas reward on the last trip for a free room at the mirage, and p.ho definitely had them beat.

I'm still relatively new to poker (2ish years in) and I'm still trying to figure out if "hookers and blow" is a running joke with poker players in vegas or they are dead serious.

I have been to vegas 4 times this year so can't remember which trip it was but on one of them I noticed that CET properties did not have a fire bet anymore and I asked one of the dealers who told me that all CET props got rid of it. I was sad, obviously a bad bet but over the past few years i ran on the positive side of variance with it for sure. RIP fire bet.

Why would they take it away? Too many people just waiting for their roll to bet on it and not wagering as much otherwise?

No idea if the following is true or not but a few sites said that "They couldn't come to financial terms with the owner of the fire bet."

Many of the table games and or the bonus bets etc are copyrighted and a casino pays a royalty or license fee to be able to offer it. So the guy/company wanted to much money in licensing/royalties and CET said no.

Don't feel bad, I have no f***ing idea why pictures of shoes get posted and I've been in poker for 45+ years and around Las Vegas for 25 years,

"Hookers and blow" basically represent the hypothetical alternative way a poker player COULD have spent the money he lost, or conversely, how he can spend his winnings.

The shoe thing started a while ago from someone's TR. He posted pics from the plane and the conversation quickly shifted to his ratty shoes. At least that's how I remember it since I can't find the actual TR.

Edit: found it

The epic Riverman meltdown trip report. Riverman who had 50,000+ posts at that point starts a trip report with a few updates and two pics, one of reading material on the plane where he inadvertently also snaps a pic of his raggedy Saucony shoes and a picture of a can of Miller lite. Than doesn’t update his report for over a week which leads to a hilarious amount of speculation. He then comes back to post about he almost quit 2+2 and details the rest of his super depressing trip report which ends with him buying a bottle of vodka and drinking it in his room while watched netflix for the last day or so.
