im planning on getting to vegas near the end of august and staying until mid sep.

i want to:
get a nice studio from airbnb (any cheaper alternatives?)
play 120 hours of 5/10 (is $50/hr a reasonable win rate for a decent live player?)
watch cirque du soleil
see the hoover dam
grand canyon helicopter tour
keep up with the gym
eat at the best restaurants
not pay for sex (advice on where to find girls not in clubs please)
do some fun excursions (maybe fire some guns/indoor skydiving/suggestions?
go to arizona/san diego for an nfl game
watch the mayweather fight (how easy is it to buy a cheap ticket and blag your way to a better seat?)

good plan? any advice? cheers

You're going to do all that AND play 40-hours a week of solid, consistent poker . . . no way.

I would ratchet back the number of hours you estimate you can get in. Just playing 40 hours in a week alone (and not anything else) is a high expectation.

As for shooting guns, check out Range 702. Not cheap, but thats a top-notch facility and I love the people there, all really good people who are very knowledgeable. In fact, I'm headed to a class there today. I've made all my purchases there and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

Which other ranges have you been to for comparison?

im 24 and cant drive - will look to get a place near the strip and could stretch to $1200 i guess.

For 3 weeks the choices are cheap casino hotel on strip or gold coast or downtown casino or one of the extended stays the problem with extended stays is your going to need a few days to check them out

I know I'm going to sound like such a fanboy, but seriously, Range 702 kicks ass. I have yet to talk to an employee there that doesn't have their act together, the facility is huge, always clean. I've even taken two classes there and the instructors are top notch. If I'm on the range and have issues or am trying a new firearm, they know what they're talking about and they've comped me cleanings and other services in the past. I've made three major purchases there (including my first firearm ever) - sure, I may be paying a small premium but the service is worth it to me.

Honestly, aside from my local gym, it's one of the better-run businesses I've been to in all of Las Vegas. If you go on a weekend, make sure you get Joe to help you - that guy knows guns and he's hilarious. I always try to go shooting when he's the RSO - Joe is good people.

If you want to go to Arizona for an NFL game and you don't drive, there's a great option. It's called Blue Dot. It's a startup transportation company. They've got a 12 seat Mercedes shuttle that will get you back and forth quickly and cheaply. I think it's like $40 each way if you're going round trip.

I was literally the only person in the shuttle from Phx to Vegas. I got my own personal driver and own personal brand new ride.

Right now, they're only advertising on craigslist. Check the "rideshare" section. I thought it sounded too good to be true, but it wasn't. It will take you close to the Phx airport. From there, you can take a cab, shuttle, or bus to the football stadium.

Every casino will have some kind of frozen drink bar where groups of girls will congregate. These are some of the best places to meet girls.

The Mandalay bay one by house of blues always has lots of chicks on weekend afternoon/nights

Only places have 5/T is gonna be Aria, V, Wynn & Bellagio so it's going to get pricey staying at one of those for 3weeks

Skip 702 Range and head for Battlefield Vegas instead, behind Circus Circus. Better selection, better prices, better everything.

you could get discounts thru Treasure Island get players card make sure they have your email and you should get specials that include removing the resort fee often that's the best deal in town you can also ask at the players desk what kind of deals they have

arriving tomorrow and dropping expectations to mostly 1/2, 2/5 as loads of people have said 5/10 is a tough game these days. i have a studio 2km from the strip for 1k and will pm gym guys.

Try not to stand next to any 9 year olds. Shame.

Day 1 achievements
- nearly asked the around 30, hot immigration officer on a date because she was flirting hard
- ate 32 pieces of nigiri and sushi all you can eat (pretty poor, wouldnt recommend)
- played 5 hours of 1/2 at the venetian (shouldve left when the competent player sat on my immediate left instead of getting owned)

poker profit +$460 (5 hours)

Day 2 -
- got a bus pass and reduced my daily travel costs by $40
- got a sim card for a month which set me back $60 - ridiculously expensive
- played awfully at the bellagio for 4 hours (villains were quite aggressive, should've moved earlier and service was poor) 1/3 -$660
- moved back to the venetian 1/2 and spun up $810 in 3 hours

poker profit +$150 (7 hours)

nice start

Day 3-
- headed straight for the venetian after a mcdonalds lunch and started what would turn out to be an 18 hour session.
- played **** for a lot of it bluffing into calling stations and making ill disciplined calls.
- lost a 1k pot with KhJh on Qh 10h 9s and he filled up (all in on flop)
- ended up staying so long because i was crushing the last table and the people there were fun and i wanted to watch the PL soccer.
- finished up 20 bucks after food and drinks sigh

poker profit +$20 (18 hours)

Day 4-
- my friend said theres always a juicy game at binions on a saturday so i headed downtown
- there was 1 game of NL running there so i headed to the golden nugget instead
- played really well but ran pretty badly to start with, AK into sets twice with top pair(and got away cheaply)
- when the table broke i got moved to a crazy game- it was 1/2 playing like 4/8 with 100+ pots on the flop standard.
- i eventually caught the hot chinese girl with a couple of big hands with some good acting making myself look weak and letting her hang herself
- i left 2 hands after her and was going to offer a consolation breakfast but didnt see her on the way out
