Whats up folks! Heading to Degenland for 3 days.

About me: Liquor store owner and real estate broker/investor from Cali. Both very stressful careers so this vacay is much needed. Mid 30s so not gonna party like crazy but still enough to make some memories

I usually go to vegas 2 to 3 times a year. This will be my first of the year due to work, family etc.

What I will play:

Poker: Cash games only. Will be posting chip porn (hopefully). I am going with my little cousin for a have fun and chill type of trip. Its his 2nd time in Vegas and his 1st wasnt pleasant so I dont want to be time-invested in a tourney all day. Rather go do the tourist stuff and degen a bit.

Blackjack: Venetian is giving me $1k in play chips and 3 free nights so we will see how far we can get with that. I donated enough last time.

Video Poker: I will be playing alot of VP. I have a youtube channel (Video Poker Hits) and want to record some content. Cosmo should let me record without issue. If not, there is always the El Cortez and GVR. I will post some pics of my past hits below. And I will also post youtube links to the videos of live play this trip for the enthusiasts.

Roulette: im not much of a roulette guy anymore but Lets do something fun. You guys give me 4 numbers to bet on. I will bet $25 on each and see what happens. Id like 4 different people to give me 1 number each. If your number hits I will cashapp the one who gave me the winning number $100.

Places I will for sure eat at:

Delmonico Steak house at venetian. My fav place for a steak w/ bleu cheese topping.

Sushi samba at palazzo. Their sea bass skewers and crispy yellowtail taquitos left me in awe last time. Must have again.

Would like some more food recommendations from regs or recent visitors. I lean more towards finer dining but am open to suggestions if you guys have tried anything spectacular recently.

Left: Wiz Khalifas Gin for making greyhounds. May subsitute this with another type. If you have any suggestions on higher end gins easily available let me know.

Middle: Tears of Llorona. One of the finest sipping tequilas out there. Very hard to find now. Worth the price ($300)

Right side:

2 half boys of Moet Rose. One for me one for my lil bro. I like to start the night off with some bubbly. And if I win, end it with bubbly as well.

Bankroll: $5k cash. Want to start small and try to control my losses this trip. Last trip I lost a base model tesla my first day so wife is standing by with another $10k ready to transfer over if needed. I love her.

If you guys have any recommendations on places to see or experience that would be much appreciated. I heard Area 15 is only fun if youre on psychedelics so I may skip that one.

After a short 1 hour flight the checkin was a breeze at Venetian.

My cousin was raving about a korean place he wanted to try called Hello Friend at Park MGM. It was pretty good with generous portions. We were starving so we scarfed it all down before I could take a pic. Will remember to take more food pics later on

Had a few drinks with a champagne toast and we were ready to gamble. As promised, I bet the 4 numbers on roulette (stadium roulette so I can record) and this is the result...

I then go to blackjack to play the $1k free chips Venetian was kind enough to give me. Was winning $1k then ended the session down $1k. At this point Im down $1100.

We then have more drinks and decide to go to cosmo to record my video poker session for my channel. They didnt give me any issues for recording so that was great. Whats even better was...

So now at this point Im up $2100 for the day. We have more drinks and my cousin heads off to sleep (lightweight)

I still have the itch to gamble so I decide to try my luck at 3/5 NL at Venetian. Ran $500 to $1k then down to $180 as I was sitting at one of the worst tables ever. All pros or regs and no one wanted to straddle.

Take my last $180 to blackjack. Bet $80. Lose. Bet $100 and I get dealt 2 aces with dealer showing a 2. I ask if I can go to ATM as the rest of my money was in the room. They allow it. I buy in for $200 more and proceeded to go on one of the best blackjack runs Ive had in recent memory




I turned $380 into $7600. Tipped the dealer $400. She was happy to say the least. I think I won like 10 hands in a row. I kept pressing more and more each time. My last bet was $1200 and I lost it. Tipped her and left.

So total for the day I am up $8600

I will be playing later on. Currently nursing a hangover.

I was wondering why play a roulette with 2x0's when 3 zero roulette exists?

If you lack enough money to complete a pair split or double, ask to "mark" the needed amount. They'll almost always let you do that, and if you happen to lose, you can then go to the ATM. I've never been denied that little favor.

Of course, I try to avoid making any bet at blackjack unless I have that much again in reserve, just in case I need to split or double.

As much as I hate casinos, if you're gonna lose it's almost to the point I'd rather someone lose to the casino than some anti social boring nl grinder.

Day 2:

We go to the wynn to have their buffet. I had it about 4 years ago and must say Im disappointed in the Wynn and Bellagio buffets as of late. Was excited to try the crab legs but they were dirty and too salty. The best thing there was the mexican food.



About and hour after dinner we got some grapefruit juice from the bar and made our own greyhounds with the gin we brought



I did not have the same run good with the greyhounds as most others. Lost about $2k at the wynn playing ultimate X and another $1k at Venetian playing 9/6 DDB.

Got some nice finger foods with the $100 room service comp. Had a few drinks and called it a night.



Day 3

I was determined to get my rungood going again. Took my cousin to sushi samba so he can see what I have been going on and on about.

After a great lunch we go to cosmo to play VP. Thats where my luck turned around the first day so maybe we can do it again.

Wrong. Lose another $2k. As we were leaving cosmo to go walk the strip I spot a roulette machine. I put $200 in and...




2 handpays and my numbers were hitting while I was waiting for the handpays. So tilting. Now I am up $300 for the day.

We go to venetian after walking the strip to put my recording equipment back.

I remember to do the roulette spin for you guys.


I was really hoping it would hit this time.

So its about 930pm. We have reservations at Delmonico. My fav steakhouse

Steak with Bleu cheese, sides, and lobster deviled eggs for appetizer.





Everything amazing as usual.

Walk around a bit and then go sit at 1/2 PLO. Max buy in is $500. Every other hand is an all in. What an amazing game. Im in seat 9 and seat 7 seems to not speak any english except for the word "pot".



I lose the first all in pot.



This time I take it. All in on flop.

Then I ended up losing in hand over hand situations. Went to blackjack and lost a bit more.

Overall I think I won about $3k. Had lots of fun and didnt go home broke. Thats a win.

On the flight back I spotted a plane flying a little too close to us for comfort



When I got back to SF there was crazy traffic so we decided to grab a bite. Stopped at Taqueria San Bruno. Small hole in the wall place but the food is so good they earned a Michelin Star a few years ago.
