Wow, rake is the best thing about Vegas, i know the comps suck relative to the inflated house prices though compared to the midwest.

Amen. Love the GVC $0.50/hr comps and $2.00 waters along with the $7+$1 rake. Once you add up the increase in rake here in the Midwest, it’s more cost effective to play in LV with the comped beverages, game selection and hourly comps. Wish the Orleans room for more love at the $3+$2 as they do give a bunch back to the players. Granted it’s a much older locals crowd, I have found it an enjoyable experience and bring back lots of stories about wild games there.

BTW the 8/16 LHE has been pretty steady there. Plus they are paying for putting in the hours.

Bally's just went to 5 + 2.

1st promo drop when the pot gets to $4, the 2nd drop at $20.

What remaining rooms on the Strip are still at a $1 promo drop?

I know Bellagio, Aria, Wynn, and Caesars Palace all have no promos and thus no promo drop. And it seems like more and more rooms are now taking $2 for their promotions. So who is left that still does just a $1 drop?

I assume Venetian. But adding in a jackpot drop has helped the room a lot so I see no reason why they would avoid an increase.

Never seen that but alright. Either way it's second lowest rake in Vegas after Orleans. The promos still suck for a $2 drop. They should at least bring back the big bad beat or royal promos if they're going to charge $2. I don't give a **** about a $500 high hand, I want a shot at $100k.

I was at SP this afternoon. They take $4 and $2 promo but the second dollar isn’t taken out of the pot until the pot gets to $50

Venetian is starting a new trend. They take the second promo dollar once the pot gets to $10.

Venetian had the worst 2/5 games of the ~5 rooms I played 2/5 at during the last series, and maybe literally ever. Everyone was either a nit or a pro. Aria and Bellagio were both fantastic.

Red Rock isn't technically in Las Vegas either. Neither are the major strip casinos.
