If you only had time in Vegas to visit 1 place to eat, what would it be?

Not looking for formal (say max ~$30 budget with no alcohol).

I understand this is a tough one, but use the "what's the first one that pops into your mind" method.

May only have time to get one meal in Vegas and am looking for the yummiest, coolest, best....

So, $20 + tip + tax basically -- assuming on the strip, since you didnt mention that.

Probably harrah's buffet or white castle midstrip, or the steak and egg special at dupars.

There's only a handful of "formal" restaurants in Las Vegas. Shorts are OK even at most fine dining places. One time at Cut there was a girl at the next table wearing an LED equalizer t-shirt.

Shoot your wad at breakfast at Bouchon. It is at the Venetian. Its upstairs has indoor and outdoor seating, great atmosphere and the breakfast faire is quite tasty. Deferential wait staff - 2 hearty thumbs up

I lived in vegas for years - its a top choice breakfast spot of mine on the strip

edit was assuming 30$ with 40/50 there are more better spots

White Castle has to be one of the worst options out there

My suggestions = The Peppermill, Grand Lux Cafe, Cheesecake factory or Bagelmania -

For super casual:
Id do Good Pie or Pizza Rock (downtown)
Aria Burger Lounge (Strip)
Secret Pizza (Costom/Strip)

For like slightly less casual:
Roma (Off strip)
Peppermill (end of strip)
The Casual Restaurant in the Wynn Sports Book
Sit at the bar at SushiSamba (Palazzo Shops entrance)

1 casual restaurant to visit, time is a factor ?

The Peppermill,

hands down and it is not even close. There is no more "Las Vegas" a casual dining spot to visit....

The closest I've come to White Castle delicacies has been the free burger trolley promo at El Cortez

I love Texas de Brazil or Fogo de Chao. for dinner they are more like $50-60 but it's so good and not typical fare

Hit up one of the all you can eat sushi places off the strip. You can do lunch menu for $21-24 before tax and tip or the dinner for $23-28.

Lotus of Siam (I am assuming the bill is for one person, under $50 with plenty of food.)

(I can get good sushi and other food here, but I can't get good Thai!)
