1.3 Million Ceasars Rewards Credits...cost about 80-90K. 1.3 Million Ceasars Rewards Credits...cost about 80-90K.

I don't keep records, but I am estimating the Ceasars rewards credits cost me around 80k-90K over 2023.
I had hotel stays In Vegas, Tahoe, Laughlin, and San Diego. I estimate 25-30 stays in all.

What else did I get for my $80k-90K?
1. Gift cards of about 5k, which I gave to my daughters (Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and Walmart)
2. 'Free' overpriced food during my stays for me and sometimes my family.
3. All the hotel stays (usually suites)
4. Spa Services on most of my stays (Usually a 70 minute massage).
5. Used one of my 'Signature Events'. in Laughlin. The Polaris car
6. Gifts, usually meaningless things I don't use.

I have left many benefits on the table. I have 3 Signature events credits that I won't use. I won't use the free cruise, the 5 celebration dinners, the Vegas airfare and suite stay. I am sure there are some other things, I'm not thinking of.

Overall, it was my worst year of losses. I mostly played at Ceasars properties, but I played elsewhere and took some hits there too. In 2024, I hope to wind down with Ceasars and try a different hotel group. Before doing that, I will try to burn out the benefits I currently have from Ceasars by using their offers and playing elsewhere. I'm considering the Station Casinos, I really like Red Rock. One issue is, Ceasars has so many varied locations and I'm treated rather well wherever I go. I don't think any other group can match that. Currently I get around 2.5k free play when I book in Vegas, which is ok, but not great considering how much I play. Sometimes when I am taking a big loss, the host will add an additional grand or two to my free play, if I ask.

I believe this is an honest accounting of my Ceasars experience for 2023.

Do you play for fun or to maximize comps?

I don't play to maximize comps, but I do try to get the most comps I can. Especially during/after a loss, I'll sometimes ask the host for either extra free play or extra spa credit. I almost always get something. I've found that asking is the best way. If I don't ask, I don't receive. From what I can gather, the hosts have X amount of discretionary funds they can distribute over the course of a year to higher level players. Some hosts are tighter than others with their purse strings.

Why won't you use some of the perks?

why wouldn't you take the airfare money?

If you'll be there in Jan you can still get the 1200 airfare before 1/31/24 fyi.

I will cash out (To rewards credits) any perk I can rather than using them just to use them. Insofar as airfare, I prefer to drive to Vegas because I like the freedom of being able to drive around town or leave whenever I want. Sometimes I stay an extra day, other times I might book a solid win and leave earlier than expected. The 7 star signature events aren't very interesting to me. I wish those didn't expire though because during the summer I would have used the Cabana & $1000 food/drink credit. My young adult children would have a fun day with that. The free cruises would be ok, but I get those offers all the time anyway so someday if I want to cruise, I can. I just don't really care to right now. It is too bad that I don't use all of the perks, but I do use what I want.

IIRC the signature experiences are book by 1/31 but use by 6/30

I mean, the 5 celebration dinners seem to be an easy use, even if on overpriced food. It's still good food.

Wow that is good news if correct. I asked recently at the rewards center and was told different. I'll look into what you said though.

I would use the dinners because I do like the food, but I just haven't needed to. The hosts always comp off all my food anyway. I recently read that I may be able to turn the 5 dinners into a $250 dollar Uber Eats credit. If I can, I will since my family uses Uber Eats quite a bit.

Why don't you use your remaining Rewards Credits for free play? $1 per 200.

Much better to bet them through the sportsbook app for 100 for 1

It is invite only so they could always deny me, but I don't see why they would.

Probably not, but it is what I like, and I guess that counts for something.
I was hoping to see larger free play amounts.
I could easily be off on my yearly loss. I will get a statement within a month on the Ceasars site and see what the actual loss is and I'll share that here.
In 2024 I'd like to cut back.... but I say that while I'm here playing right now at Ceasars Vegas so maybe I'll start that resolution next week.

The rewards points that I can convert into free play won't be resetting or expiring so there is no urgent need to convert them to freeplay YET, but I will. As a note to others, the Ceasars properties generally are reluctant to charge off food if you have a rewards credit balance...even for heavy gamblers. This incentivizes me to convert the points to free play and keep the balance near zero. I recently found a host at Ceasars that I've spoken with and he will go against the general policy and charge off food while I have a rewards balance, but he is an old vet and knows how to great cash cows.

I don't sport bet but this sounds like the best deal in terms of getting value for rewards points. For me it would be random games I have no clue about. Probably not too much different from anyone else actually. Keeping me entertained and off the casino floor for a couple hours could save me a lot of money actually.

Even betting randomly on main line games will net you a 95% payback

Don’t they treat RC converted for sports betting just like the monthly bonus bets for Diamond and higher statuses? Namely you don’t get the bonus bet portion back when your bet wins.

As of right now, you get the converted rc bets back along with your winnings. Obviously once Caesars realizes this error, I'm sure they'll change it.

Appreciate your input here. It is definitely way better value to make random sports bets then to just take the 50% cut in value by cashing out the points they way I have been doing.

I was in Vegas this week, and accidentally overdid the gambling and wound up with 62,000 tier credits including bonuses. I'm not sure if Ceasars has already distributed the bonus tier credits from December play that were going to go towards 2024.

I'll update this thread although not in a happy way. I really lost track of my losses last year at the Ceasars properties. According to their records I lost around $200k which is my worst year ever gambling. I would estimate I played at Ceasars facilities on 35-40 vacations total last year. I could afford it, but when I saw the number on the year end win/loss statement it stung me. I really did have a very good time much of the year, but $200k is $200k I could have lived high on the hog for years in South America if I'm going to piss that type of money away.

On the bright side, at least January of this year I'm a winner of $10k with a total of 5 trips....and 130,000 tier credits earned. I intend on toning back the play this year somewhat. To do this I'm simply going to have to work more (My small business), as it is the lessor of two evils. If I can survive until June, I'm likely going to be in South America for a long spell and will not be playing at casinos.

I'd argue the opposite.

If you're doing well enough that you can't tell the difference between $80K and $200K loss you probably shouldn't worry this much. You did have fun after all
