It depends on reputation, and such of the buyer/seller but mostly the buyer pays 1st, then the item is ordered. I do recommend finding a escrow for large $$ items, just safer.

He wasn't serious in the first place. Are you kidding? How many people would fly to NJ from Canada in order to fight some random dude he's never met sight unseen, offering $5k to $1k? I figured there was a small chance he'd escrow a few hundred bucks on forum tilt though, but he's obv a bustotard so it was more a waste of my time. But I was already watching TV so eh

it seems like a REALLY REALLY bad idea, imo.

Maybe i'm dumb. idk. But why wouldnt someone cashout their own money and buy items with their own cc?

Cuz sites take forever to actually process cashouts.

and some people have bad credit and can't buy high-value items.

Also, buying stuff for poker money is buying stuff with fake money, but once it hits your bank account then it's real money and you don't wanna spend it.

To me none of those reasons make any sense:

- Not worth the risk of getting someone else to buy on a potentially fradulent CC for the sake of getting items 1 week earlier
- I've never heard of a CC refusing a transaction b/c of bad credit when funds are available in account
- If they do block transactions, then obviously you probably can't afford it and shouldn't be buying it?

Imo the downside vastly outweights the upside

I requested permission to be able to start threads. I am looking for a low cost table in the Milwaukee - Madison WI area - say $300ish. I have never received a response to my request. Not sure what the deal is.

Well, seeing as this is the first post of yours I can find in the Marketplace, I'd have to guess you didn't read the sticky: ***POST HERE FOR PERMISSION TO START NEW THREADS***.

Even if you requested permission in the control panel before, you'll have to do it again now as that request will be long gone.

Thanks for the prompt response.

Did control panel and posted in thread.

I would like to start a thread asking for reciprocal link exchanges. No money will be exchanged. Is this the correct place to do it?

No, nor was that the thread in which to ask this question.

I don't think there is a correct place to do this on 2+2; if anyone knows differently, please speak up.

Real quick question.

Once you have approval can you start multiple threads without asking again, or does Bobo need to know prior to every new one?

Please, nooooo!

You can go ahead and start other threads if you have other items to buy/sell that are allowed here.

Not going to happen.

Also you're not going to be able to start any threads at all for another 5 months anyway so I wouldn't sweat it.

EDIT: *TT* is probably the best person to ask about it if you want a more official answer, by the way. In general if you're going to be posting links to anything business-related it's not free on this site. (Although there's a million places off-site where you can do this sort of thing anyway).

Again, this is just a simple little forum for trading and selling stuff.

we should really stop the sale of poker books in this forum. Every page has atleast 4-5 people trying to sell books, and the majority of the time no one wants/buys them .

it really just floods the forum.

we should also stop the sale of anything under 20$, like decks of cards, or used T-shirts....

cmon.

we could also start and "FTP Point BUY/SELL thread" to clean this place up.

You guys should install the iTrader mod to make feedback easier to keep track of.

So I tried to give away a free movie ticket to F&F that I can't use since I'm in Canada, and it's only valid in the US. Then I get a PM saying my post has been deleted and I've received an infraction because it belongs in Marketplace.

Is 2p2 seriously this Nazi-ish? I have to jump through hoops to get approved to post in this forum just to give away a movie ticket???

Prepare to be infracted for not posting this 2+2 complaint in ATF.

If it ain't broke...

I mean, this is the first complaint I've heard like this. Stopping the sale of books or items under $20 sound like really poor idea. This forum was started as a place where 2+2ers could sell items they want to get rid of, or buy same.

The FTP thread wouldn't be a bad idea since those threads comprise a large number of the threads in here, but the problem with that is anyone could post in them. Starting threads is software controlled, so if we haven't granted permission, you will be unable to start a thread. I don't have to worry about checking each thread to make sure the person who started it is allowed to. I'd have to do that with every post in a FT thread. Ugh.

This is really something you should be taking up with the mod(s) of the forum in which you received the infraction.
