What do you think about supporting the use of an external site to manage feedback like Heatware? I've noticed users at several other large forums with marketplaces using it to determine trustworthyness and who should send first etc.

I've used it myself and it's extremely easy to manage. For example, here is my profile

Hi Guys,

Around 4 weeks ago (December 10th), I ordered two books through the Marketplace from another 2+2 member. Since I was in Canada, I didn't expect International shipping to arrive immediately. Another factor that would slow down the speed of arrival was the fact that I live on residence in university, where the mail is sent to a central mailing area, and processed to the correct destination.

The agreed price was for $40, for Harrington on Cash Game Volumes 1 and 2. Since the other member didn't have a ton of history, I suggested to send $20 first and the final $20 after the package arrives.

Today, I received an email informing me that a package of mine had arrived. When I went to pick up the package, it was in a plastic cover I with the following letter on the back:

"Dear Customer,

We sincerely regret that your mail item is damaged. It was found in this condition in the mailstream.

We realize your mail is important to you, and we are always concerned when mail entrusted to our care is damaged. We continue to improve our processing methods to help reduce occurrences of mail damage in our system.

You may call Canada Post at 1-800-267-1177 or visit our website at www.canadapost.ca, if liability coverage applies. Please note the packaging and contents may be required.

We apologize for the inconcenience.

Sincerely,

Canada Post"

The package seemed to be ripped open with a medium size tear on the bottom center of the package. I opened the package and found only Harrington on Cash Game Volume 1.

What is my next step to getting this situation fixed? Has anyone had any similar experiences where their package was damaged?

Thanks

James

No idea how it works, and don't really have time to wade into it right now. How would it work with this site? Cliff Notes?

It doesn't get integrated into the site, just when you post to sell or buy something you include a link to your heat at the bottom. It's similar to people linking their eBay feedback except the comments are actually worthwhile (not A++++++ Seller so good!!!) and you can see what items were bought/sold so you don't need to worry that the guy you're dealing with has had 57 positive reviews selling paperclips.

It's used quite a bit on [H]ard Forum which is a computer/technology website. Here was the first FS thread I saw when I checked their section just now -- The second line of his thread has a link to his Heat where he is 16-0.

Heat provides 'bought item' 'sold item' and even 'cross traded' as terms of exchange for feedback which makes me think people could also use it for site to site xfers in the zoo.

Put up a thread looking to be staked for pokertracker only to have a mod shut it down saying theres no buying or selling pokertracker on 2+2 (which i wasnt trying to do). When i explained the situation the mod tried to tell me that this is a loan not a stake which i disagree with. It would be worked out like any other stake. Then the mod tried to tell me what he/she thinks i should do to go about this. ( which was ask for a stake to play tourneys and make the money for pokertracker that way). I am not looking to be staked for certain tourneys. I play what i want to play. I dont see how asking to be staked a program to help you play the game is any different than asking for a stake for tournaments.

You're starting to test my patience with you.

It says very explicitly in the marketplace rules that threads to buy and\or sell software licenses are not allowed.

I'd like to be staked for strip clubs tbh. any money left when I get out of one will be split 50-50 with the backer.

I would be purchasing it outside the thread from the official site. Just looking for the stake. I dont understand what the problem with that is. Im not looking for a loan to go to strip club. What im asking has to do with poker.

I may be interested in backing you if you have a history of getting on stage and winning money.

First of all, I have no idea why you'd think the negative feedback thread would be the right place for this. I've moved the discussion to a more appropriate thread.

It seems the issue has changed - now we have a stake/loan issue, and/or whether or not this is really much of a stake request.

You say it isn't a loan, but a stake, and you don't see how this is different. Well, when you get a stake, all the money is used to play with. What are you proposing here?

Edit to add: Why don't you just sign up for a kickback deal on a site like PokerSavvy or PokerSource and get PT for free? Seems like the easiest solution. Get a stake on one of the sites that you can use for the promo.

Was just giving some negative feedback about 2+2 itself.

Ive thought about doing a kickback deal for this but i have already signed up at all the US sites i care to play at.

If you just changed the rule to no buying/selling/or loaning for pokertracker on 2+2 then i dont think this would even be an issue.

This was at the request of PokerTracker. I discussed it with them myself and they don't want it here, and given the difficulties in the past, I don't blame them. And before you get too wrapped up in trying to find bizarre workarounds, can you not think of any other way to just purchase or get it as part of a promotion?

I really dont see how looking to get backed for pokertracker in a staking forum is so bizarre but we all have our opinion. Thx for telling me about pokersavy and pokerscource bobo. just realized i havnt opened an account at bodog yet so i might try to get ptr with them. If anyone else has any sites/ways to earn pokertracker im open to suggestions but im sure i can find a thread on this topic.

I have a quick question:

If FTPs are valued at $5/1k points by Full Tilt, how did the standard rate to sell them settle at the low value of $3.50/1k, only 70% of it's value? Plus, after the MGR hit, you only receive $2.15/1k, which gives you 43% value.

I mean, when people sell $T it's at going rate of usually 98-99%, and $W for at least 90%. How did selling FTPs get valued so low?
