I am interested in selling shares for the $5million on stars tomorrow. As of yet I don't have priviledges to start a new thread in the marketplace but am hopefully going to get it soon.

TBH, I've never done this before, and have played very few donkaments but I am a solid cash player. Here is my PTR: http://www.pokertableratings.com/sta...rch/TheBowlBoy

I don't post on 2p2 much but am around the micro full ring forum a lot. I'm currently in two volume prop bets for this month and have not been asked to escrow by those guys because I am reputable. I once a lost a prop to another 2p2er for $50 and paid him promptly so I guess I could provide him as another reference but I'm not sure if he really posts anymore.

Ideally, I'd like to just freeroll this thing and keep some of the profits for myself or just sell like 80% of my action. I honestly don't know what is standard here but even though i don't have much experience in mtt's I'm pretty sure I have a decent edge over the field that 100% of my action should be worth more than the ticket.

PM me if interested.

How do cuts work here I don't see the baps mentioning any cuts. Can you please define this:

- The amount you want to sell (typically 30-75%)

Well the cuts are 1% per 1%... as simple as it could be.

The amount selling is the total amount of the tournament (or package) the player is selling off. The 2p2 system isn't designed for complete tournament backing - ie freerolls.

The biggest issue with new members trying to figure out the 2p2 system is not realizing how simple the system is. Take whatever archaic BAP system you've used previously and apply -none- of those assumptions to the 2p2 marketplace. There are no "cuts". There is no "makeup" or "cake".

Lol. So why would anyone wanna sell shares of themselves, if they're not getting any cut from their investors money.

I think I understand. Just the reasons like to "reduce variance" doesn't seem convincing enough.

But most players get a premium on their action by charging a markup percent. This is like a tax on the investors. The reasons to sell action are the same for almost all staking agreements:

Reduce Variance +
Play events they don't have the bankroll for

Not for me then, but I definetly check it out once I've the roll to do some investing. Sounds like a staker's wet dream.

I may be wrong and since i am new i dont want to make the EDIT myself but the ROI example seem wrong

markup of 1.2 for a guy of 60% ROI
to make it simple I buy 100% for 120 and on average he gains 160 so 160/120 - 1 = 33% ROI not 40 you have to take into account the whole investment (if I understand well the example of course)

This whole forum is a joke if even a simple guide like this gives out such erroneous information. I wonder how many people have already lost money because they followed this guide. See my comment on page 8 if you are curious how to actually calculate these things.

Hey
I'v got a specific question (dont know if this is the right thread):
I want to setup a staking deal with a friend where we put a BR together (50/50) for ME to play online MTT's.
my roi is ~56% and ~23% ITM.
what would be the right conditions for eventual wins/losses and so on?

appreciate any device from experienced stakers

So basically Staking is like investing in players right?

So I won a seat to WPT Ireland Main Event (2,500.00 EUR/3,252.86 USD) last night and was wondering how would/should/could I sell some %%%

Is it a waste of time trying given that I'm unproven on the live circuit, and would I get any interest given my tourney results?

any help appreciated muchly

Peace and love!!!

def should try to sell, if it makes you feel easier for whatever reason. will have to dig around in the selling live shares forum a bit to find a way to actually post this. no mu at all, could think of some mark down actually as well

Hey guys, I'm new in 2p2 but have been playing for a while. I was backed by a reputable member from 2p2 and have other people who can vouch for me. I have good results both online and live.

What is the procedure to being marketplace approved so that I can start selling?
04-07-2012 , 10:46 PM
hey guys,

I didn't know there was the existence of this resource. However, the site does not allow me to start a thread to post what shares I want to sell.

How do I build enough credit in order to post?

Thanks

both of you should read the sticky that says ░▒▓██▓▒░NEW Staking subforum rules (MUST READ)░▒▓██▓▒░ CAN'T START A THREAD? - READ THIS

I'm not considering to be staked nor staking in the near future but the whole thing is interesting. I am wondering some things.

What is the purpose of staking to the staked player? Disregarding complete financial meltdown and desperation.

Here's the reason why I ask. To me it would sound credible that a player who is being staked doesn't risk his or her own money and therefore can play more freely (which is good for good players) and can thusly make some profits for other people.

But in the "Negative Market Place Complaints" I see alot of people complaining in very harsh terms ("I don't care if your grandmother was dying"... type of things) about not being payed back their stake.

So I am confused. Could someone explain this to me.

edit: This isn't really an in-depth question but more a general one and I think it fits here but if the Moderators want to move it to the question thread then that is fine!
