I didn't sign up for I couldn't afford it, I spent the required time needed to watch the product video and then i check out the products.

to really use it all you would have to spend like close to 400 bucks,, which included their software,, their desktop, their monthly 49.99 fee(which doesn't include any free months ) if you get the all in one package.

the main thing is you pay 9.99 to learn the basics, or 49.99 to learn the lessons which would be akin to your standard training site,, but to get the program "that helps you develop your winning style " that is 299. in itself,,
and it works requring you to play on their network(i don't know if it is money or playchips).

it sounds cool to me, but overpriced for the general microgrinder,, although the claim from one pro "it has helped my game by 50 to 60 percent" who isnt' a big name sounds interesting.

I would be interested to hear andepth review on it,, i mean one can pluck down the 49.99 just for the lessons,, although i dont' know if you have to pay 49.99 for the desktop just to watch the lessons. aka 100 bucks.

although the earn part sounds kind prymid scheme to me. ?

Hi all

About to ask the same old question that seems to be asked, which site is better :P

In context: I was a stox member through TFPT about six months ago. I took a break from poker and am looking to come back. I've really struggled with my game as the comptetition has got tougher - I was winning at 50nl 4 years back now I'm breaking even at best at 10nl!

So... if I am talking NLHE 6max cash micros, rebuild your game from scratch type stuff, am I better looking at CR? DC? Another site?

One last thing ... the thing I liked best about Stox wasnt just the vids but it was the constructive tone taken in the forums. Although I am aware of the irony here I find the 2+2 strategy forums generally filled with either poor advice from players at the same level or just outright rudeness. So quality forums would be a big influencing factor in my decision, in fact I'd go so far as to say the site where proven coaches are active in even the micro forums would really sway my thinking.

Thanks for any info in advance.

Why not poke around the forums a bit yourself? DC is a friendly community with good forums. Don't know Lego quite as well, but RedJoker has a long uNL stat-analyzing thread that's about a hundred pages long, where he will analyze your micro stakes HEM stats, which is amazingly cool.

Just study FR videos that apply to the limit you're playing. The strategy to beat Rush poker is the same strategy you would use to beat a regular FR game.

DC probably won't have anything that CR doesn't have. and vice versa.

if you just get subscriptions to hear difference voices talk about poker, then mix it up. but if you subscribe to improve as a poker player, cardrunners is enough imho.

Greetings!

The WSOP Academy, the official poker school of the World Series of Poker, launched the beta version of its new, online interactive poker school this week. The site is designed to help players improve their live game play and take their passion for poker to the next level. The site uses exclusive footage of actual WSOP play combined with a highly interactive interface and instruction directly from top poker champions to create an extremely effective training platform that is fun, entertaining and motivational.

Here are some of the features of the site:

Training Roadmap:

Players need a curriculum that builds a base of knowledge about the game and then expands on each skill learned. WSOPAcademy.com is the only site that provides a comprehensive training roadmap, divided into 12 chapters with real-time testing and live feedback before and after each lesson. This helps students retain the strategies they learn and have confidence the next time they sit at the table.

Certification Course:

The WSOP Academy's live certification class has been molding champion players since 2007. Now the in-depth training and certification from the world's foremost poker champions is affordable to everyone online. First semester graduates are eligible to win a seat at a live WSOP Academy event and second semester players have a shot to win a spot in Hellmuth's Home Game. Training content is delivered three courses at a time, allowing students to master each winning strategy at their own pace.

Bracelet Winners Corner:

The Bracelet Winners' corner is a 30-minute coaching module in which students learn directly from the champs. For the first time and in their own words, the champs describe the strategies, missteps and moves they employed to win their WSOP bracelets. The Corner launches with the first of several episodes featuring exclusive, unseen WSOP footage from Phil Hellmuth's epic 11th WSOP Bracelet win.

Hellmuth's Home Game:

WSOPAcademy.com students sit down instruction with Hellmuth in the first weekly, online TV show dedicated to poker strategy. Hosted by Ali Nejad, Phil and friends play a series of cash games & sit-and-go's providing uncensored insights and play-by-play commentary.

Navarro's Poker Tells Center:

Joe Navarro spent twenty-five years with the FBI interrogating spies. Now exclusively at WSOPAcademy.com, Joe teaches how to hide and find body and face tells, while honing key observation skills that central to the championship mindset."
"
I will probaly check it out within the week myself.

is there any websites or coaches that specialize in the 18 man sngs ?

Having recently returned to poker I am keen to find a suitable training site. I predominantly play $10 STT SnG.

The first one I signed up to was Drag the Bar on the 7 day free trial.

I was impressed with how the site looked and how easy it was to find the relevant videos. The DRM-free concept was also impressive as it allowed me to rewatch videos when I was travelling.

I was very impressed by the videos by Zerosum79 and Kazor (although Kazor is no longer with the site). They are clearly well thought out and very well presented.

Unfortunatly they are not all to this standard. There are videos where the coach is writing the slides for the leson as he gives the lesson which includes a brief discussion of which font he wants to use.

In a different series, where the coach has one part dedicated to tournamant play, he actually says in the introduction to the series, I hate tournamants these days!! (I actually understand why he said this but I cant help question whoever is responsible for the final edit).

I also feel that there are not enough videos under the SnG section to justify paying $30 per month.

Having said this they do have a wide range of videos and for cash game or MTT players I would recommend that you try the site and make you own decisions as they have a far wider selection.

Thanks for the props, glad you liked the site.

I've recently decided to pull that series until it is re-made. At the time we accepted the videos and left the content up because it was our only beginner series to sng's, the actual content was strong and I wanted that content on the site sooner than later. Now however, we have much more beginner sng content, so we will be fine without that series until it is remade.

I can assure you that it is not indicative of our production quality. The coach who made it is a great player and great coach, he just needs some help with powerpoint, and we'll get it taken care of and re-posted in the near future.

Fair enough, we do have another SNG coach coming within a month or two just to let you know. Its an area we are committed to and will continue to improve it as we move forward.

Thanks for taking the time to write an honest and well thought-out review of the site, I'll be happy to answer any questions you or anyone else may have.

I would like to add that Hunter as well as one of the coaches have contacted me directly about my feedback and I have every confidence that these minor issues will be resolved.

This is definitely a site that all players looking for coaching should try.

I’m looking for a new MTT training site to improve my game. I have narrowed it down to PokerPawnage and TournamentPokerEdge. Both sites look great I just can’t make up my mind what is the better site to join.

PP has great coaches and I was impressed with their training videos. Also I have been a victim of Ghetto Fabulous before. Stacked me before

TPE has a great price and no sign up fee. I also like the fact that they let you download vid’s so I watch them on other platforms.

Right now it’s a coin flip. Not sure witch one I should go with.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not positive on this, but I thought the extreme basics (like say position explanations, hand rankings, introduction of value betting, that sort of stuff) were actually available on some poker rooms as videos, not to mention all the other general poker places it could be.

Advanced/more valuable videos should be rare compared to the stuff this person is asking for.

I would start with youtube, then just run down some of the larger poker sites in general (not just poker rooms, but news sites, training sites, communities and so on), I don't think you'll have much trouble finding really basic stuff, if that's the type of thing that you're looking for.

His videos seem cool to me. I don't see how anyone can complain this guy is helping us out and hes one of the best in the world. He can talk in another language if he wants he doesn't have to do it the way other people want haha.
