if that makes sense? well that is my question.
Grinders School focus on all the levels you want to progress thru. There are no big names on the site but the focus is on beating low limit games. They have a ton of videos that focus low limit games and not by guys dropping down just to make a low limit video.

Some of the best high limit hu players period.

DRM free videos. You will need to use a converter software to put them on your I-POD.

Not the least expensive site but very good video's.

I own this site and just wanted to clarify, the videos are not for heads up cash, they are for heads up sng. I think the user was mostly looking for heads up cash, so I didn't want him to assume we had a bunch of videos we may not.

Generally speaking, hu cash and hu sng will be vastly different as they are normally played. If you're looking for short stack heads up cash (very viable, filled with skill and much different than short stack FR or whoever usually gets ragged on) then heads up sng advice will almost directly translate in many areas. But full stacked hu cash is much different from heads up sng.

Thanks Thibo and NOt Lolo for your advice,

yeah ive heard about cardrunners and DC and they both have free trials I am interested in trying out.

I started a tab in int explorer with various training sites and NOt lolo i also put grinderschool in there, and i see what you mean cuz tho i like pokersavvy plus clearly there is only one instructor who's spent a ton of time in the micros who can really teach you how to beat the micros, he's a 2p2 vet, ama0330, or andrew arnott, i really like his teaching style and he is great at explaining why you do what you do at the tables.

so i think im gona maybe stick around savvy plus one more month, then move on to some trials(CR, DC, and grinderschool)...

earlier today I also checked out deepstacks university and I think further down the road for the intermediate player thats prob a great resource, they have a patent pending on a software that puts you into real situations at the tables without you losing the $, sounds crazy but it just may work, its supplemented with their instruction of course.

+1 to both of ya tho

that may be further down the road then you think.

1. no forum for their website
2. no reply by their support
3. no reply from their facebook group
4. no listing of modules on their website so one can see how many have been made.
for all we know ,, we may pay 99 dollars for the activation fee and only see 20 modules!!.
5. no representative from their website to answer questions about it on deep stacks.

shame..err I mean pity.

hmmm....good points...

i'll keep that in mind, it doesnt even apply to me anytime soon regardless...

that is kinda sad, youd think something mike matusow is founder of would probably be better than that...the scam looking thing a few posts above probably has nothing to do w/ actual reps from deepstacks, but rather another internet and id theft type con artist piece of ****t quite frankly ...

as we all know, if it sounds too good to be true, IT IS too good to be true!

I missed that he was looking for cash. sorry

I know you owe the site and I am impressed with how well you mod around here with that potential conflict.

I just started playing around with HU NL sng's again. I was playing a ton of horse and full table sngs. I miss your site but there is only so much training you can watch when you play for fun like me. Plus i learned I am way to much a nit to really excel at HU.

I can honestly say I enjoyed being a member of the site and would recommend it to any aspiring HU sng player.

Is there many Philosophy videos?

Do you have to use converter software to put the video's on an ipod?

I guess I am about ready to pull the trigger. I wish they had a trial.

not that much there like 3 but there a couple of videos like: Jason explains how to develop appropriate 3-betting ranges in order to exploit your opponents at SSNL games.

That you can watch on an Iphone.

For the trial.. like I said there some part of their videos on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TffpNO9fVdM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2wec...eature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLznX...eature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIT7FE8M9jw

Btw, the last two are the Isildur1 vids

Just register for a free account and ask for trial vids from others coachs if you are still unsure. I saw free members asking it before on their forum and they were glad to works something out.

ohh.. and there a free video by DrGiggy on www.videopokercollectif.com

Every other videos are in french and this video is pretty old but it can give you a small sample of what he can do.

btw, you have to register for free to see the vid so there 1-2 things you should know to be able to register :P

Enregistrez-vous = Register

Nom = Name

Nom d'utilisateur = Username

Mot de passe = password

You should be able to register & after being logged just use that link: http://www.videopokercollectif.com/content/view/166/30/

So I went to cancel my cardrunners account and I'm pretty ****ing infuriated about it. First off, it is impossible to find how to cancel. You have to click on the "Dashboard" button at the top. At the very bottom in tiny print there are sections like "Account" and "Edit Billing". Neither of these lead to anything that lets you cancel your account.

Eventually I clicked "FAQ->Account Support" and found this.

Quote:
How can I cancel my account?

* United States based members must call 773-661-2669 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central Standard Time during Monday through Friday to initiate the cancellation of their account. Members outside the United States can email support@cardrunners.com.This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Your cancellation will be processed within two business days thereafter. Please call at least two business days in advance of your renewal date to avoid being automatically charged for the following month. Alternatively, any member may cancel his membership by sending a written notice of cancellation to CardRunners, 2402 N. Lincoln, Chicago, IL 60614, United States of America. Your notice of cancellation must include your full name, mail address, CardRunners username and password. Please send your written notice at least fourteen days in advance of your renewal date to avoid being automatically charged for the following month. Regardless of your cancellation method, your access continues until your next renewal date no matter when you choose to cancel the account. Our customer service representatives are authorized to waive the sign up fee one time only for former subscribers who rejoin within 120 days of the termination date. Afterwards, you will pay the sign up fee again when you re-subscribe to gain access to the videos, content and site improvements created in your absence.

I will absolutely never again use CardRunners and I will recommend the good people at Deuces Cracked, BlueFirePoker, and Leggo Poker to both students and friends. Every one of those sites lets you cancel instantly online. Cardrunners requires 2 days notice so if I can't cancel until Monday so that is 4 days I have to wait before my account is canceled and is probably going to result in my account being renewed against my will. This method of cancellation is absolutely unnecessary, the fact that I can signup and pay online, but not to cancel, is really scummy and is obviously done with the intention of keeping people from canceling.

You can be 100% sure that you can email them to cancel it. I can pretty much assure you that if they charge you anything, (by the time your account is cancelled) that there going to refund you.

I mean that's good if true but how many people go to cancel and get sidetracked because it is ****ing impossible to find. Go to CardRunners site and try to find it. Case in point: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/12...iption-393378/

Every other major site (LeggoPoker, BlueFirePoker, DeucesCracked) allows you to cancel online immediately and there is absolutely no reason for it to be set up this way except with the intention of scamming people into keeping their memberships longer than they intended.

In the future my money and recommendations are going towards those legit businesses.

I agree with you but I think that with the good content they put on CR (I am not saying CR is my 1st choice for everyone) it's a small inconvenient to have to write a 1 minute email to support@cardrunners.com to cancel.

However, I'm also a member at BFP, DC & Leggo and I agree that this feature is missing on the CR website.

That's obviously a minus for them just like the sign up fee is or the fact that their vids are drm'ed. Personnally I feel that there way more plus than minus but hey! It's just my opinion

They use the site to get you to come to the big dollar live seminars which have questionable value. I guess if your goal is to be insulted by "Mike the Mouth" live this might be your thing otherwise it looks like a easy pass.

Well I am from United States so their policy says that I have to call in between Monday and Friday and talk to them to cancel or send a written letter of intent with my account info including username and password??? As it turns out they do allow Americans to cancel by email, they just don't state it on their website.

That and the hidden nature of the actual cancellation info itself is what really angered me. Having it handled by a helpful CR customer service rep now though.

Until December of 2009 I worked as the Production manager for StoxPoker and also helped work shifts in support each Sunday (which covers both sites). I can assure you that even as an American you can cancel via e-mail - just send a simple e-mail saying "I would like to cancel my membership" and you'll receive a reply within eight hours letting you know that has been done.

Additionally sending an e-mail to jeff@cardrunners.com (the support manager) about your frustrations should see a better cancellation method put in place.

I saw this guy's 2nd video today and 1st of all I don't get what all the excitement and controversy is about. He really seems like a nice guy and
all but to me his 2nd video was very boring. Again people hate on him and Leatherass all day long and I think that's very wack and most are playerhating.
The thing is he says he is mad that his screename is out?? Leatherass is completly open about his screename. What's the big secret? Then he says he will change his screename. How do u do that? Play on multiple accounts.
If he wanted to be incognito then why make training videos?

In before the move or lock with my two cents

I think there is something that rubs many people the wrong way when a guy named Boy Wonder gets love. It just tilts people.

Good point if you don't want people knowing about you it is stupid to make training videos.

ben is a private person. after speaking with a lot of video producers i can tell you one of the biggest deterrents in getting people to make videos is the outing of their screen name.

the site he plays on allows screen name changes.

the reasons he gave me were to give back to the community and one on one coaching experiences he found very rewarding.

ben was offered a "job" at leggo a year before he actually took it. it was a very big decision for him and he was very conflicted over some of the points you bring up.
