What stakes to play

I have a starting bankroll of 350 and I would like to try and grind and build my roll. What level would you suggest I start at and when would you leave that level etc? Thank you

We always suggest:

The lowest level you beat. If you don't beat the game, play the lowest level. If you play mainly for fun, play the lowest level that makes you play serious.

The best way is to invest into yourself to improve. That has the highest ROI.

.2/.5 IMO. the '20 buy in rule' is a kindof risky, better to be 'over-rolled'

i think one of the best things any player can do is get a membership to a training site, then try to make enough every month to pay for the site (usually 100$)

Try bestpokercoaching.com , i'm biased of course.

You can talk to a real coach in live pretty much every day. That comes at a premium of course compared to the cheaper $10/month sites.

Just check out different sites, most have some type of free entry course so you can figure out where you will be best helped.

The sad thing is I can’t take the Low stakes seriously. Anyone else have this problem?

Re: What stakes to play

yeah its hard to take low stakes serious, but when you put in the hours those pennies really start to add up, and you can make enough to climb up stakes. its also pretty fun to start out at the bottom and work your way up

get a Run it once membership, they are the best in the industry

ive paid for a lot of sites/coarses, and i can say this for sure. i owe a lot to this site. so when i see people asking about training sites i feel compelled to recommend them in the strongest possible terms. the knowledge on there is priceless, it is an investment that will pay you back many times over

It's quite normal/natural although it will be your biggest barrier to beating the game. Talking from experience

You are looking for excitement/thrill. That's good for motivation, but also bad for being profitable. No need to feel bad or guilty.

Imo you should play as high as you have fun and can easily afford to lose. No need to feel guilty, others spend $100 on wine that others drink for $10 . I'd even say they possibly get 10 times the pleasure.

Do it until you get tired of it. At some point beating the game (no matter the stakes) will give you more pleasure. There is a lot of satisfaction in outsmarting your Villains and the all-ins where your edge is 65-35 can still give you the thrill while at the same time winning you money long term and dominating the competition.

And it's more fun to play basketball, boxing (and poker) with people who are your level or slightly better.

Of course, if your question was "i want to become a pro and make money longterm", the answer would be drastically different.
