Can you tell, by looking at the graph, when Jason started playing on his account?

Creepiest guy I've ever seen in a "professional" photo shoot in the bottom left picture.

I can't fathom why he would put up (student's money) for this photo shoot. It's just bizarre.

I remember thinking this guy was some poker god after seeing his graphs and reading about how fast he shot up to 25/50 PLO games and how he dominated the game so hard that he decided to stop putting in the hands. Are his blogs from Stox still available somewhere? Knowing what we know now, they are a must read.

I'm hoping someone takes him up in his 2 week "intensive" course at his house in macau and intensively beats the **** out of him.

this is so ridiculous i don't know if it's a joke or not.

the last line is classic:

"so dudes, after you've got all your cool sht on, then maybe you too also can raise with 72 SUITED against a big stack on the final table and ship it and get him to fold like i do."

i am speechless.

I hate to say it but it was SUPER obvious this guy was a con artist, and incompetent from the outset.

Everything he wrote, and all the bull**** he went on about his life coaching ra ra ra bull**** was obviously just that.

This guy was clearly completely incompetent at everything he was talking about, but very good at spinning bull**** and feeding people packs of lies.

Sad that it turned out by this though. Not surprising at all to me.

so i have used Jason in the past for coaching as he came recommended (second hand) by cottonseed(pretty sure it was him) and another Stox guy.

in total paid him for about 12 hours and felt like i got my moneys worth. i only ended up using 9 hours, with 3 months passing since my last session (i get lazy)...i saw this drama develop and asked Jason for a three hour refund. within 24 hours i had the money in my account.

i dont know enough about the events to take either side. from listening to JH i get the impression that some sort of non standard deal was made that left some people overexposed and those people perhaps lost more money than they thought possible (again, this is just IMO). he told me he wants to 'clear this up' with the ppl involved and he was very surprised by the organized personal attack.

as far as JH poker skills, i feel comfortable that he could beat mid stakes online NLHE for at least a reasonable amount. outside of that i dont have a lot to offer as i spent only like 9 hours online with him and that was over 3 months ago.

as far as his charecter, well i never felt worried about paying 5 hours in advance and he did just refund me $xxx

i also immediately got the impression that he was sort of eccentric but i dont care about that as long as somebody does the job i pay them for.

aha! so THAT'S why jason ho never plays poker!!!

from old stox forums:

"I don’t think I am a leatherass man, I can’t stay at my computer grinding away 8-12 hours a day. He thought it was crazy if I could make this amount of money but the truth is I don’t really care about the money. The money doesn’t mean anything to me anymore. It is all relative in terms of I earn money to do the things I want. I don’t work because I want to earn money. I don’t want to kill myself each day because I potentially can earn xyz. I know I never talked about my results but I will now because its relative to the point I’m trying to get across. I earn like thousands an hour playing poker but I hardly play on the tables because I focus all my time improving and being the better poker player. I spend more time in developing and researching my skills than playing. Last year I netted well over a million dollars but I hardly played at all. I didn’t post the results because I am embarrassed in how little time I actually played and didn’t really care if anyone knew how much I made for me it had no reason."

the more i read about jason ho, the more i'm embarrassed for him...

Hi Guys.

I previously mentioned that I was not going to post blow by blow updates as I interview people and try to filter through a lot of information surrounding this situation.

Jason still had forum privileges on StoxPoker because I wanted to give him every opportunity to answer allegations and, where possible, to refute them.

Once he used our forums to threaten his accusers personally, he lost that privilege. Since he is now officially banned from the site, we pulled his videos and blogs. Our desire was to not take any actions prior to a full report from StoxPoker to our membership . . . but the circumstances above dictated otherwise.

The full report is still to follow within a few days.

Classy guy.

From the (hilarious) pics posted he looks like some kind of bizarre hybrid of Jackie Chan and Jigsaw, so I'd be worried if he threatened me - having the crap kicked out of me while being strapped to some sort of weird torture device doesn't sound like fun.

One kicker would be that he agreed to play 15-20 hours/week on my account. The final kicker was that after the course. I would be his “protégé,” meaning I would have unlimited access to his coaching, specialized documents he would produce, and that he would eventually have me be a winner in 25/50 NL 6 max in return for a monthly fee of $5000. I asked for a traditional staking agreement instead whereby he could take some of my profits in exchange for covering my losses but instead he sold his agreement to me as a “no-lose” proposition.

Following that day, Jason made about $13,000 that weekend on my account in about 5 hours of play. He then immediately asked for the remainder of the coaching fees of $10,000 even though our agreement had specified that the remainder of the fee was to be from profits. I told him so but he was very insistent so I agreed to immediately pay $5000, expecting he would continue to have similar success playing on my account.
I feel bad for everyone Jason scammed, but if you let someone else play on your account you deserve to lose your monies. For one, it is against FTP terms and conditions and two, you are basically cheating all the honest poker players.

I am sorry for your loss. It sucks. Treat it as a lesson learned. But since you are cheating by letting someone else play on your account you got exactly what you deserve.

I'm pretty sure cottonseed posts here and apparently he got coached by Jason in the past. As someone who apparently has made a million+ playing poker , he should of gotten wind of Jason's con artist like skill while coaching, right? Cottonseed, talk about your experience with him.

hmm not to stir up any flames or anything but why can't the coachees sue stoxpoker to get their money back?

Them endorsing JH is probably the biggest motivating factor for the coachees to get coached by him.
