I understand that information hasn't yet made it in 2p2 - but how could it? This thread is hidden away in the coaching advice forum when it needs to be in NVG so parties involved can notice it.
some authority respond to this please.

Lie detector, no. But a proper vetting process, yes. You are being facetious.

As Teddy says, it appears there is more information to this that has yet to be made public. Not much today for further information to come to light, perhaps starting with the Stox/CR statement tomorrow

Funny thing is when you go to Stoxpoker and then choose "Upcoming Releases" there are only Jason Ho videos listed.

Yes, one 2+2 mod is treating victims very badly. Shameful.

Stoxpoker is very much in the middle of this. Instead of running a video site with high quality video coaching, they are mostly running a site where people are allowed to advertise coaching, and sometimes do so with a video.

It's like running a military. You can try to be the Roman Empire, where very few are allowed to be in the military, they are well paid, and it's very prestigious. Or you can run a military where anyone can sign up - and heaven knows what will happen with some of the troops the first time they encounter an unarmed civilian.

He had a vid were he described Alpha ratio which is a measurement of preflop profits.
I have heard later that many players use this alpha stat in holdem manager, including great players.
I have to admit I was fooled, I thought he was good...

Weird stuff...

In defense of Leatherass, what he said was just because of his enormous ego. I've seen it before from him where he "had a feeling" that something was gonna happen and stayed away from it, only for it to blow up and he tells everyone "I told you so". I don't believe that he thought that Jason was a scammer, he just wants to tell people how awesome he is by pretending to have predicted it.

Apparently sociopath is no longer a recoginzed psychological term. It's symptoms have been merged into psychopath. I think the villain exhibits 75%+ of these factors.

Psychopath

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sociopath

The following findings are for research purposes only, and are not used in clinical diagnosis. These items cover the affective, interpersonal, and behavioral features. Each item is rated on a score from zero to two. The sum total determines the extent of a person's psychopathy.[27]

Factor 1
Aggressive narcissism
Glibness/superficial charm
Grandiose sense of self-worth
Pathological lying
Cunning/manipulative
Lack of remorse or guilt
Emotionally shallow
Callous/lack of empathy
Failure to accept responsibility for own actions

Factor 2
Socially deviant lifestyle
Need for stimulation/proneness to boredom
Parasitic lifestyle
Poor behavioral control
Promiscuous sexual behavior
Lack of realistic, long-term goals
Impulsiveness
Irresponsibility
Juvenile delinquency
Early behavioral problems
Revocation of conditional release

Traits not correlated with either factor
Many short-term marital relationships
Criminal versatility

Doubtful he's a psychopath. Instead, according to the DSM-IV, Narcissistic Personality Disorder:

A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

1. Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

2. Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

3. Believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)

4. Requires excessive admiration

5. Has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations

6. Is inter-personally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends

7. Lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others

8. Is often envious of others or believes others are envious of him or her

9. Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

Looks like he's got all nine firmly.

But there are coaches that aren't great coaching noobs for too much money throughout the poker world as we speak. Especially making videos. This guy's not any different. Not every coach sucks but it's easy for some jackass to scam a naive small stakes players based on a little standard deviation run-good graph.

I haven't read this thread past the long post of the guy who got scammed (casper i think), so this has prob been brought up. Have you looked into "the big fish" he had you sit with at PLO? Or who your biggest losses were against while he was sweating you/telling you this sub-optimal moves? Possible dumping to friends, or an account he couldve been on?

i've been a lurker on this forum for quite some time now, as well as a poster as of late; but I can tell you for sure this is the seediest, most disgusting thing I've seen one player do to another. although i've only read a few pages of this thread so far, the tone is set is so despicable, that if true, I can't believe a worm like this slipped through the cracks.

rollsucker ive played with you before i believe and you seemed to be a pretty good regular @200NL. Im sorry to hear u got scammed and hope u get your money back. Did you get coaching from jason or did you just invest in the PLO fund? I did see that you had dropped down to 100NL and was kinda surprised by that, was that because you started to lose with jasons coaching?

I'm sorry, you may not be an idiot, but you sound like one here. If you watched any of his videos his analysis was just laughably bad. I'm not saying he was a drooler and was playing with a 5 suited deck with jokers or something, or he didn't know the rules of the game. But it was clear based on his thought process that he would not be a winner in MSNL games in 2008 on FTP or PS.

As to why people didn't jump up to alert everyone that he sucked, IT'S NOT OUR JOBS TO POLICE EVERY ******ED THING THAT YOU WATCH ON THE INTERNET. And just because I or other good players saw his vids and thought "man this **** is terrible", doesn't mean we felt the need to post in a thread and start some stupid flame war about it. You have to understand that the vast majority of stox subscribers get it free through FTP, and most of us think the site is pretty much crap and wouldn't pay for a subscription. So when we saw another crappy vid on the site it really wasn't surprising. Plus without knowing there was some kind of scam lurking beneath the surface, as far as I'm concerned, if you watched the vids and played terrible because of it too bad. I'm not trying to make everyone better at poker. doesn't help my bottom line.

I mean Full Tilt academy gives out some of the most LOL bad advice I've ever seen in emails to massive amounts of people every week. And I don't go around and try to alert the people that follow the bad advice that Phil Gordon really has no idea how to play 6 max. Or that Huck Seed is a degenerate fish that luckboxed some tournaments back when people actually read TJ Cloutier for strat advice. If people watch ESPN and listen to Norman Chad and then play terrible it's not my fault that I didn't warn them. However if norman chad murdered some guy and I didn't report it to the police it would be my fault. As far as I know Norman Chad hasn't murdered anyone. If you find bodies tomorrow in his backyard don't blame me.

I'm sorry that people got scammed, and if I or any other regs saw that coming I'm sure someone would have alerted people (aka what LA or Stox should have been looking out for AHEM). But to get pissy every time a MSNL reg comes on here and says this guy and his videos were a joke is just silly. he sucked and was a bad player, we knew it.
