Hey all -

Just wanted to share that I'm getting my first coaching session starting next week.

I mostly play live MTTS with an ABI of around $400, and some online MTTs with an ABI of $100

Haven't had any significant results online, but had my largest score late last year for $22k.

I'm getting coached by a friend of mine who has about 1.5MM in live earnings. We're doing it as 10% of my action against a $2500 package during the Borgata Spring Open for 3, 1 hour sessions.

Does this type of package seem in line with market rates?

Want to improve my overall live poker game and mindset and hoping that these sessions will help me make a deep run at Borgata

Total winnings, so if I cash 1 tournament, but not the others, I would pay him 10% of that cash.

It's $2,500 in total buy-ins over the course of week. Basically, I'm playing at least two tournaments, and firing multiple bullets in each, both of which are multi-day.

To understand if the package is, "in line with market rates" we would need to know your expected EV for each tournament. This would take into account your ROI and ABI. If your EV ends up being such that you are paying in excess of $200/hr, I would say you are probably paying too much.
