I've recently started playing Hyper SNGs 6-Max and would like to join a studying group or gather a couple of folks who'd be down to it.

I have good experience on online MTTs with quite a few 4 digit cashes (tho not really any major result) but as I'm from the PT server I lost interest in their fields and prize pools so im in a transition process.

So far in the micro sample of 250 sngs im running under EV (according to PT4) but with an ROI of 28% (not really under EV lol) and I've been coming across a couple of situations where im not exactly sure what to do and would be very interested in having someone to discuss them with.

If anyone is interested, we have a study group which is mainly focused on learning to play all of the non-holdem games well. Our main game is Omaha8, but we play pretty much anything...even some holdem games sometimes. We're up to 60-ish people and always looking to expand, whether already knowledgeable and wanting to help or a bit new and just looking to try something other than holdem.

We have quite a few helpful people here who are regulars at the higher stakes for many years now, and already some success stories from people who joined a few months back and improved a lot...which has been pretty cool to hear. Before you pay out a lot of money for coaching, this might be worth looking into since it's free.

I want to start a "master mind group". The concept is pulled from Napoleon Hill's book "Think & Grow Rich". What it basically consist of is a group (around 3-5 people) who works in harmony (negativity and uncommitted people can get voted out of the group), have a common goal in place, meet (via Skype for example) and discuss idea, goals, concepts ect. We hold each other accountable to our goals, discuss different things we are working on, what we are struggling with and what's working. It helps the group collectively become better at our individual goals. Think of "2 minds are better than one". We will meet regularly (1 time per week for either 60 or 120 mins depending on the size of the group) and use things like google docs to document past meetings for future reference.

One of the main things about a master mind group is having a very specific common denominator in mind. For example, a body builder preparing for a competition shouldn't have a master mind group that consist of someone who's just trying to cut sugar from their diet. They both want to get in better shape but how, why and level of commitment are entirely different. That being said, I listed below what my commitment level to poker is how poker pertains to my lifestyle so if anyone with these common goals would like to join, please comment and we can work on starting our first meeting for "meet & greet", laydown the specifics to how we will approach this. - I have a full time job, family and 1 child. Poker is a part time hobby that I want to get better at and earn about $10-20K additionally per year
- I normally play Live poker (200nl or 500nl, depending on game and line up) on the weekend
- I study poker 2-3 times per week.
- I Play 10NL online to use as testing theories, getting better ect.
- I want to get better at tournament strat also for when the $50K & $200K guarantees roll thru. I have been playing some MTT's recently to sharpen my short stack game and understanding of how to approach tournys

Hey guys looking to get back into poker on a part time basis and supplement my income and have a bit of extra spending money each month. I’m open to playing live and online. I’m located in Vancouver, and open to using skype, texting and other methods as well though. Overall, I’ve been playing online and live since 2005.

LIVE: I used to play 1/2 at the casino two years ago, and I know the game has evolved to 1/3 now. My game has mainly evolved from reading books like Professional No Limit Holdem. My stats show I’m a winning player and that live cash is my most profitable form of poker on an hourly basis.

ONLINE: I was mainly playing in 18 and 45 man MTTs at the $3.50 and $7.00 buy in level. I use PT4, but I’m by no means an expert at manipulating and analyzing my stats for sharpening my game. I mainly use to track my results, and also mark hands for reviewing. Would love to learn more about how to use PT4 more efficiently to plug leaks. I’m a winning player at these games, but my $ per hour is much less than at live cash game.

Most of my learning has been done on my own, and all of the friends I grew up with are only casual players who play in home games only. I want my journey in poker to be more social and team oriented, than my previous experience of learning and playing on my own, and only one friend who was decent enough to talk strategy with. If anyone wants to work as study partners and improve at either of these games let me know and lets make it happen!
