Hey we have a 2+2 Poker Study Group that was formed I believe over a year ago. Just a random bunch of people that all come together to talk about poker and keep each other company. Anyone is welcome to join, the group name is 2+2 Study Group. It currently has almost 100 members, although only a handful are active. Feel free to message me on Skype, Embryonal for a invite.

We continue to sign up SNG players and we are looking for players who play in the $10 - $16 level. You can certainly join if you play lower and your welcome if you play turbos as well.

Right now we have 13 members. Join us!

Send me an email with your info including your email address.

We launched the group this week and have paired off to review hand histories.

This is a low buy in SNG group. Please pm me to join.
Looking to set up a STT study group for low buy in players. I'd like to get players who will work together and review each others hand histories. I want this to be an online group that works through email and pm.

I will be the organizer. I am not a super expert. I would just like to be a regular member. I will send emails and try to make sure that the group functions. My plan is to have a rotating pairing so that we each have an opportunity to work with every member. Each week we will all have to review on entire STT for another member. So you will have a whole week to do the review and you only need to comment on the interesting hands. Then email your comments. No appointments to keep. Do it in your own time. Swap as many histories as you want during the week. The next week we will all be rotated to another member. My plan is to leave it up to members if they share their online name. The policy will be that this is kept private.
Players must have a minimum of 100 STT games played , have a basic understanding of odds, and must have read at least 1 poker book. I know this is not asking much but you have to start somewhere.
My hope is that we get a good response and we can set up 2 groups so that more advanced players feel challenged.

Please dont post a response here PM me instead. Ill repost this every other day for a few weeks to see if it gets any traction

Re: *Official "I want to start/be in a study group" Thread*

Quasi-Reg/small winner/rakebackpro at NL1FR on Stars.

I'm currently interested in learning 6m PLO, starting at 25 and seeing how quickly things progress. Looking to make a few "poker friends" that I can talk about hands with on aim. Currently reading both of Jeff Hwang's books.

Interested in developing mutually beneficial relationships with others that are learning 6m PLO and taking it seriously. I'm taking it seriously enough such that I will be playing a few thousand hands per day while reading Hwang's books.

I have and prefer aim, but can use other messengers; I'm also a Leggo member.

PM if interested.

im a 100NL HU regular looking for a poker buddy, preferably another HU regular, to sweat with via mikogo/teamviewer and skype. i had such a partner in the past, and it has worked out quite well, but hes a 6max player and is rather inactive during the school semester. paying for pricey coaching is silly imo, i think mutual sweating with another competent player can be just as beneficial in plugging leaks and keeping ones game sharp.

pm me if you're interested.

a serious grinder lookin for a poker buddy to climb the ranks with..
I've been a winner at every stake up to 100nl, took out my whole roll a couple of months ago due to lack of time to play and my skill I lost in the process so decided to just deposit a cool 20 bucks and rebuild.

Anyone playing 2nl - 10nl interested in sharing hands, having sessions and finding leaks pm.

Re: *Official "I want to start/be in a study group" Thread*

Hi all, looking for 200-400NL regs at a similar level as me to review hands, talk poker regularly, and motivate me to kick up the volume.

I am a 4PTBB winner at 200NL over the past 250k hands and I play professionally.

There will be no fees exchanged, as to why I want someone at the same level as me. Be willing to exchange screenshots of graphs/stats or poker SN so we can verify this

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hello everyone

I'm a winning reg on 6max NL50 on Pokerstars. This is a screen shot of all my current nl50 stats:

I'm looking for somebody who has a ~similar winrate at my stakes (or nl25) and is thinking seriously about beating nl1000 at the end of 2011

If there's anybody who would like to put much effort in improving our games, ie. making sweat sessions, hand reviews; discuss theory and poker-related topics + motivate each other and/or recommend books/videos, etc., etc. please PM me.

Best regards
Pawel

We continue to sign up SNG players and we are looking for players who play in the $10 - $16 level. You can certainly join if you play lower and your welcome if you play turbos as well.

Im looking for omaha players. After spending years of break even/losing sessions in nl hold em. I've decided to make the switch and pretty much starting from scratch again.
