Im currently 27 years old been playing poker on and off for 8 years, recently I've been playing almost everyday leading up to COVID19. I live in NYC so no online action. I play mostly underground live $1/3 - $2/5 and im definitely a winning player. Over a long sample size I was breakeven up until this year which I been taking the game more serious but been studying on my own on and off for 8 years my first book was "the theory of poker" 8 years ago and I just ordered "modern theory of poker" and read basically everything in between from math, psych, and exploitive play books as well as participating in live cash and MTT games small to mid stakes always. A few times at $5/5 in Ac and watching tons of content online I read articles and newsletters from anteup cardplayer reading 2plus2 posts etc... for fun. I love poker and always will. I bring to the table a Balanced GTO/exploitive Tight argo style to the table and usually feel im very different than others and at the same time play with a lot of people on a daily session in my underground spots which are some of the best id say after playing in AC multiple times and feel its harder here in NYC my weaknesses id say are I don't keep a paper trail of every hand but have notes on players and keep track of my win/lose record. I feel I handle tilt extremely well its one of my strong suits and my stronger traits are reading people through figuring out ranges bet sizing and physical tells. Its hard for me to find people better than me that would work with me because people usually don't like the way I play. I give a strong image at the table of mystery and seriousness. If anyone has some advice id greatly appreciate it! my dream is to become a full time pro even though before this covid19 poker literally paid all my bills and im currently in college for computer information technology systems with programming! thank you guys!
P.S what im doing with my spare time right now is literally spending hours playing pokersnowie and considering joining a coaching site like upswing or get private coaching its the two things I haven't tried and I want to be sharp and ready to hit the felt as soon as this thing blows over..

Ive been on Poker coaching premium for the past year or two witch is great but just a little expensive.
I had upswing for a little while but a lot of the content atleast at that point was from a higher stakes perspective and doesn't work that well against small to mid stakes mtt.
I would HIGHLY recommend alex fitzgerald on youtube. His youtube vids are great for exploting low stakes mtt. Ive bought 1k plus off his webinars and he is great for free or paid content.

Also there are sites you can play on in ny. I live in Michigan and everything is the same here I believe.
I sent you a pm. Let me know and we can go over some things.

If the Upswing videos were produced in the high quality way that the Doug Polk Youtube channel is produced, it would be a lot more engaging. From the video/audio quality standpoint on some of the videos, I couldn't bare through it and quit after a month.

If you're looking to spend some good coin, get a real coach.

If on a budget, I liked the approach of Red Chip Poker's core and the trial of PokerCoaching.com with the quizzes was really intuitive.

Upswing is good. Tho I would recommend Pokercoaching.com. Their cash game learning path is ok, the premium cash game learning path was awesome IMO, if you aren't thinking about hands in Range vs. Range compared to texture this'll get you there. They also have cool things like 30 day homework challenges.

CRUCIAL I would also deposit like 50$ on a US facing online site. Bovada/Americas Card Room, to be able to practice for cheap.

If your already thinking about hands in Range vs. Range and know what textures and turn cards ect. are best for each range, you could go right to a Run it once membership. It's best advanced poker content membership IMO.

A Personal coach would only be advantageous if you had a database of hands from online they could comb over, or they could watch you play online in real time.
Though I would use memberships before a coach. 25-50$ a month for membership vs 80+/hr for good coach.
