Hey Guys,

For small stakes MTTs, what's better,...run it once or ivey league?
I read Tournament Edge was good before but the quality has dropped off.

I mainly play small stakes mtts ($5-35$ buyin and as bankroll gets bigger want to move up)

Thanks for any input!!

Any advice for best training site for cash games? Think I'm going to try to build a roll and start grinding .05/.10 so I can learn cash games from low levels and hopefully move up to $1/2 or higher.

I played MTTS and really liked TPE. Thought TPE vids were amazing and really liked the players they had doing videos. So anyone looking for mtt training... TPE is the nuts imo.

RunItOnce is almost certainly best for MTT (as well as PLO and NL cash) at the moment. From what I've gathered TPE is going down the drain.

I've always been a huge fan of Bart. I recently signed up for the CLP podcast which is $12.99 and I'm just wondering if anyone could give input as to whether or not the videos are worth the extra $17.00 per month?

Just to give you an idea of where I am at in my game. I am a pretty decent ABC reg. I have beaten $50nl 6max online for just over 5bb/100 over 150k hands.

Thanks

Hey best option for a person who plays a healthy mix of live and online, but a bit more live? Although that could change if I felt more confident online.

I play $0.25/$0.50 live, Rebuy Tournament Live, $1/$3 Live, Micro Stakes SNGs and Cash online

Hi, can someone tell me if a training site is worth it for a 1/2 NL live player? If so, which one would be more appropriate? thanks!

I read this thread already and it helped me a lot (combined with reading PMTM) http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/27...l-live-538853/

But my goal is to be able to play looser and eventually go up to 2/5 (I do fine but playing so tight is not so fun)

Crush Live Poker is going to be your best bet if you are playing live exclusively.

Take notes. I wrote a short guide on how to do so for books, which should be applicable to videos as well:

I didn't look at training sites for a good amount of time and recently resubbed most of the popular ones and it mostly looks grim imo

Most sites look like crap and lack good theory content but I may have not looked around enough maybe

I might be biased since I only really like theory series content only focusing on specific areas at a time

I really despise the session reviews that just keep rehashing the same things

Also would it kill these guys to set up their websites professionally? Like at least a decent search function..

I'd recommend GrinderSchool* or Run it Once Essential.

Spoiler:
I produce videos for GS but receive no financial benefit for recommending them here. All opinions are my own.

I am a CLP subscriber, and I play 2/5 live and $50/$100nl online. IMO I really do not believe that what Bart and crew teach is applicable for online - if anything it would be just the podcasts. Therefore, if you are just playing online and money is tight, then don't worry about the videos. However, they are quite interesting and entertaining, and well worth the time and money, and obviously a must if you play live.
