Ok, so I'm currently grinding micro-stakes NL and am considering joining a training site. Initially it was going to be Cardrunners but now I'm thinking DC because of the lack of sign up fee. Any thoughts? Does Cardrunners pwn DC and wd therefore be worth the extra initial cost?

As far as alternatives go, a lot of the LeggoPoker sample vids seemed to be at the mid-high stakes and with PokerSavvy Plus listening to Ike Haxton's voice would be too much to bear, but If anyone can think of any other decent sites for small stakes cash I'd like to hear about them.

Thanks

BFP has one great micro cash series and Don is making some NL50 vids often but that's pretty much it.

If your BR is short DC is your best bet imo.

Been a member at poker savvy for a few months, but never use it. Joined to watch ansky, but he never makes vids. Was just curious if there are any other instructors there (i dont really know any of them) who are worth watching for NL cash (and by worth watching, i guess i mean have a very solid winrate over the longterm). Just wanted to ask b4 canceling it, since i already have way too many memberships i dont use.

thanksss

Be sure to check out EpicFoldGuy (Grindcores) videos as they are very good.

For microstakes Ama and SavvyChris have a number of good videos.

I also highly recommend Foucalt's series which are mainly MSNL orientated, I can not say enough good things about them.

Eddi's videos are also very good, his latest series on playing OOP I have got a lot out of.

And of course there is the immortal TRD23, personally I think his videos are the greatest.

Regardless of stakes I think any player will be able to get a lot out of my Substance series, the rest of my videos are mainly for an SSNL audience.

Title says it all. My first thought was to try Cardrunners but uhhhh absolutely not, they have literally only a bare few mixed limit games vids. Anyone have a better suggestion? (besides "do a search". I tried, I didn't come up with anything.)

The reason Ansky "never makes vids" is DC picked him up in conjunction with him being part of their whole 2 months 2 million thingy.

I've mostly just watched LFTVs PLO vids so far (they are v good), but _Fisherman (aka Evanski) has some some interesting looking videos as well that might be worth checking out before your sub runs out at least (only seen a couple so far).

Has anyone signed up to Deepstacks University? I was on their announcement list over the summer and then a few weeks ago I got a flash based email from Mike Matusow telling me I NEEDED TO JOIN, and there was alot of FINGER POINTING at me telling me how great the site was, etc..

I thought "wow, he cares! I AM terrible!".

So anyone join yet? How's the site?

Probably worth it if your a big fan of Liv Boeree since you can see her while she coach you.

Hey,

I've just subscribed to Pokersavvy coaching site. Could you please tell me whose videos on that site would you recommend? I am SHNL25 & SHNL50 NL Hold'em player.
I'd be grateful for any hints.

SavvyChris's Building the Basics is very good.

Also Ama's Half Dollar series and his new Full Dollar series combined with SavvyChris I think you will get a lot out of.

Also my Substance series should give you a good grounding in the learning process for developing as a player through microstakes and SSNL.

i joined pokerswat.com in the middle of september. i paid like $180 for a 6month membership. needless to say, the last videos these guys produced was september 27th. this is a complete joke. i wasn't warned that they'd stop making videos or anything. not to mention this site is buggy as hell. there are some big names part of this site so i figured it'd be much much better and at least HALFWAY usable. it's garbage. someone from this site should PM me and let me know how to get reimbursed for what I paid.

I think all these people above are just as guilty for ripping me off for $180 as whoever was responsible for starting this krap site to begin with.
That's a little bit strong. However, in the circumstances, you are definitely due a refund IMO and I will try my best to make sure that happens. If you PM me your details (RL name, date of subscription) that would help.

Andy Ward.

That does suck, but do they have any info on their website claiming new videos per week/month, etc? If they don't you are probably SOL.

This is why I really dislike the signup fees on these sites. It's hard to know if they will really put out new quality content month after month.

bonified, i appreciate that. and if i could edit my original post, i'd take the names off after reading your reply.

in fact, i looked all over pokerswat.com for an email so i could contact support and ask for a refund before I even made this post. but i couldn't find an email address.

The video training website market was saturated the minute someone else arrived to compete with Cardrunners, god knows why these 10-12 smaller sites thought it would be a good idea to enter the market.

Since you seem to be part of the site, have there been any news about what's happening to the relaunch/the site being bought out by another training-site?

I haven't heard anything since that email went out, about pokerswat being "up for sale".

I'm guessing that even if there have been new developments, you aren't at liberty to speak about them, or they'd be publically known... but it doesn't hurt to ask.
