cheers in advance
what do u play? sngs, mtt's, or cash? both sites are solid, but be sure to check out leggo, bluefire, and deuces cracked if you're looking for cash.

Bluefire is pretty much just 6 max cash from my understanding. Deuces Cracked is mostly cash, w/ a wide variety of games. Leggo is mostly 6 max cash but also has some mtt vids and a full ring pro.

Bluefirepoker = 6max cash + HU cash + PLO (6max+HU)

I've seen a lot of the vids on x factor, but they were all from a year ago or earlier as i don't play many mtt's anymore. They were definitely good though, and i didn't get too involved in the forums but i think they had some good things going w/ sweat sessions and HH reviews from pros etc.

Cardrunners i've never had a video subscription to but they're so huge now i'm sure they have plenty of good mtt vids.

It baffles me how Stox can just let all their leading producers just walk. DTB is pretty much the new StoxPoker minues the Stox/CR management.

DragTheBar also has a 7 day free trial now as well. Might as well test all the free trials you can before making a decision.

I like what I see there so far. Nice. I gotta check out Robertie's backgammon vids. I've been wanting to learn & he seems to be a good teacher.

My main problem is the lack of concentration/ I can play my A game only 10% of the time....i cant play turneys anymore becouse i fell sick of them afte 20 minutes.

i need a training site that has a good coach in this field, in mostly my mental problems, i need to find my pleasure to play again.

now i play HU cash online, and live turneys but as i said, improving my mental state is my priority atm, as i fell i understand the games pretty well

Student Caine at leggo has an excellent series on tilt control and other mental stuff.

Just started the dragthebar free trial, give a reivew in a few days after looking over the content. TBH though, I'm a member of a few sites and it will be hard to get me to pay for another site

Based on reading this thread and my situation I am considering joining Bluefire. Any comments or is there any actual recent reviews of Blue fire around here other than the usual it's pretty good or Phil never posts in the forum?

I have read this whole thread and I really still think the jury is out on many of the sites. The biggest thing I can take out of this whole thread is:

1. That it is very questionable to trust the reviews on pokertrainingguide or pokertrainingreviews. And I am still not sure if I should trust pokercurious.

2. Grinders and the heads up sng site get a thumbs up but are limited to small niche.

3. DC and Leggo are popular. I been a member of both and was not overly impressed with the noise to learn ratio. Watching hours of video of a guy 2 or 4 tabling has never taught me much. Even in series form. Side note: I did purchase and learn a lot from Bobbo's DVD.

4. I don't know what to think of card runners even tho I have great respect for Taylor I don't think that's a reason to join a site.

5. The other sites like Drag the bar, pwnage, Poker VT I really don't know what to think except VT seems to be the most ABC.

6. Pancho seems to have belonged to every training site and seems to love the current one he is with that month.

I really am looking for advice. Any feed back will be appreciated.

A lot of people have suggested that SitNGoGrinders.com is the best site for mastering SNG and MTT. So I checked out their sample videos and they were HORRIBLE.

One video was just a guy mumbling over and over "im not gonna play this hand". In another video, all the decisions seemed pretty arbitrary, he would just say stuff like "if I was in the mood, maybe Id raise here"..

Can the videos really just be this horrible? Just a guy having a poker session ranting incoherently about what he is doing?

I heard this was the BEST SNG site out there? Am i missing something?

Best for SNg/MTT is PXF. Beanmo/Sheets for Sngs and AJK for Mtts.

I disagree Sheets is a good SNG teacher but there is so much fluff in the hours of video's he has produced.

It's like he said, "How many videos can I get out of ICM and push shove situations? 20? 30? That will keep them coming back."

The problem is 2 or 3 quality video's would have covered the same material but without feeling like sheets has just joined your family because you are watching hour after hour of his videos day after day.

The noise to nugget ratio on PXF is very high. Good stuff yes, but unless you want to here about Sheets trip to Disney with his kids among other stuff better suited for a blog there are better sng choices.

I bought a membership just for the Rat Sauce mttsng videos, aztrackers videos were okay too. I wouldn't re-up my membership unless Rat Sauce made more videos.

So what site has the least fluff and most substance? I'm still undecided on which to join.. Im trying to master MTT, SNG, and HU, and cash games eventually,...

As I said in an earlier post, I thought SNGrinders was just full of fluff and total bs... what else should I try?

As i posted above and based on reading this thread and my situation I am considering joining Bluefire. I haven't gotten any replies or comments. The review thread on here is really old and I haven't found any actual recent reviews of Blue fire other than the usual it's pretty good or Phil never posts in the forum. I would like to see a few objective posts.
