Hey everybody,
I am German and 31 years old. I quit my job in the finance industry to travel through Latin America for a year and recently decided not to return to Europe but to try to make a living here.
I was successfully playing poker as a student from 2007 to 2010 until I decided to go for a regular lifestyle
I was a reg on NL50SH playing NL100SH for a few months as well. My hourly was around 15$.
Until I find a job in Latin America or ideally to make a living of it I now started playing again to give it a shot. Obviously a lot changed since 2010 and over 30k hands I only brake even on NL10/NL20 (EV including rakeback). As I assume I am still amongst the top 15% with that I'm not too depressed and there must be potential to be profitable again.
As I started on low limits to try different styles over a few months I wanna give you my recent stats from the last 8k hands:
VPIP 29 / PFR 21 / 3bet 9 / WTSD% 26 / W$SD% 49 / Agg 2,23 / Agg% 35,4
I know I have to bring my VPIP and PFR way closer together but I often find reasons to call opens in position (loose 3b callers, aggressive 4betters, no squeezers behind, fish in the blinds who I want in the pot...). I am not sure what else you might interpret from my stats.
I feel like I play my value hands fairly well but lose a lot of money with light 4bets, bluffs (especially 2 or 3 streets of cbetting) and my approach to go broke with AK/QQ against almost every player (running into AA/KK).
So what am I looking for:
Generally some advice here on my approach to start poker again and my stats.
Specifically a SH reg (NL50-NL200?) who is potentially interested in a coaching/staking deal.
I have unlimited time right now so I would be willing to enter a staking deal (including regular coaching) with a high number of hands or a coaching deal with profit participation for a certain amount of time/hands.
To be honest I am not willing to make an immediate investment, meaning paying an hourly and spending a lot of time on checking references beforehand. You would have to trust that I am interested in a long term partnership and be willing to get to know each other with no strings attached. I think a good way to start would be to speak, analyse my stats and watch one of my sessions. This both of us should be able to evaluate the potential of a partnership within a short time.
I hope I gave enough details, any questions welcome though
Looking forward to hearing from you!
P.S.: I am not sure if I can send/receive PMs here...
