if not, I would volunteer to collect the payments on stars for those who cannot/do not want to send on PP. Payout would be made on stars, not PP

As far as I'm concerned we need all the money in one place.

It was an issue last year with payouts when Terrence and Ross had parts of the money each. It will be an even worse issue when 2 people on opposite sides of the world that don't know each other have half the money each.

In the previous thread when I was looking for update help and an escrow that_pope was the only person who volunteered. I expressed my interest in someone who could take money from paypal and stars transfer but nobody volunteered at that point.

All the money needs to be sent to that_pope via paypal to enter this league.

If some other people want to arrange between them to transfer on stars and then pay that_pope in one lump sum then that's fine, but it's at your own risk. (Also be aware that if you cash then payouts would be done via paypal too).

Update:

I will be on vacation between 30th May (before closing deadline) and 3rd June.
There will be WiFi where I am, but I will also be on vacation.
Don't expect the teams to be revealed in full before I get back.
Take extra care if you submit a team last minute. I likely won't be there to check over your team and give you a chance to change it. Any errors found on June 3rd will result in you having to remove a player from your team.

Player of the Year Changes
One of the most prestigious awards in poker is the WSOP Player of the Year. It rewards a player who excelled throughout a long stretch of tournament poker that encompasses games ranging from limit hold'em to some of the wild stuff played in the dealer's choice tournaments.

King's Casino again has a role in the changes here, as they'll be sponsoring the award for 2017. As part of King's Casino's new role as the host of WSOP Europe, they'll hand out a seat to 2017 WSOP Europe Main Event to the player accumulating the most points over the course of the 71 open events.

Additionally, the method of determining a victor will change. Gone is the use of the Global Poker Index points formula, and in its place will be a "proprietary formula." More details will presumable emerge before the series starts.
