It is with great pleasure and much excitement that I announce the details surrounding this year's unofficial 2+2 Vegas Get Together on Friday July 3rd. Started by 9 small stakes regulars 3 years ago, the event grew to over 160 people last year. This year, it will be bigger and better than ever!
The
Hard Rock Casino Poker Lounge has graciously offered to host us this year. There will be a catered buffet, free drinks, a live broadcast from by Two Plus Two Pokercast presented by the PokerStars VIP Club, shuttle busses from the Rio, 18 exclusive tables for us to play poker (for those of us who want to play poker), table games, 2+2 authors, poker celebrities and even a sign in table staffed by the Hard Rock's "Hell's Belles"(
Sorry Buzz, you know we love you, but the Hard Rock insisted on reassigning your name tag duties to hot girls.)

Here's what this year's event has in store for us:
Poker
We will have exclusive use of the Poker Lounge from 6-10PM on Friday July 3, 2009. The usual offering of low stakes games will be available with stacks upon stacks of $1 chips; if there is enough interest they will accommodate us with a table for games such as 10/20 PLO or a $1k SnG, essentially if you can find people who want to play a game, then the Hard Rock will spread it! We can continue to play after 10PM (as I expect many of us will) but at that point the room open to the general public. As in the past, I'm sure the play will be donktasticly loose and aggressive!
Table Games
The Hard Rock will also be providing us with a few exclusive table games as well strategically placed in the middle of the Poker Lounge, it’s no secret that 2+2'ers love to play the notoriously -EV Texas Hold 'em bonus game, they have assured us that two tables will be provided exclusively for the use of 2+2'ers
Exclusive Buffet & Drinks
The Hard Rock will be providing us with a free, that's right I said free, catered buffet and drinks for the players. Even if you don't plan on playing poker come out and meet your fellow 2+2ers and enjoy the buffet, here's your chance to meet people that you only know from online, you never know who you will run into. Last year we had a strong contingent of poker pros like Dan Harrington and David Sklansky, Mike and Adam from Pokercast, mods like bobo fett, goofyballer and buzz, well known posters along with 2p2 newcomers.
Two Plus Two Pokercast Live!!!!
As if all of the above wasn't enough, Mike and Adam have decided to crash our party and broadcast the Two Plus Two Pokercast
LIVE that night. You never know who the guests might be, with the first day of the Main Event in full swing and hundreds of 2+2ers in close proximity I would expect the unexpected.
Free Shuttle from the Rio
Playing in the WSOP Main Event Day 1A on July 3? No problem, come on down if you bust out, there will be a free shuttle over to the Hard Rock. The exact times and pickup/dropoff locations are still being ironed out, so keep checking back here for details.
How Do I RSVP?
It's easy to RSVP for this event. Just click on this
link to the official RSVP thread found in the Las Vegas Lifestyle Forum. RSVPs will be accepted until midnight June 30, 2009.
There will be a sign in table at the entrance and only those who RSVP will be guaranteed admittance due to the food and drink are being provided by our hosts. Again, you must RSVP to be admitted. Unless your last name is Antonius or Sklansky, do not expect to be able to walk up the night of the event and get in.
You must be over 21 to attend. If you aren't 21, please do not RSVP as you will not be allowed to enter the Poker Lounge.
