Segment: The dearth of high stakes televised poker. Man we really do need the return of High Stakes Poker or an equivalent show...it's long overdue.
There are international cash games televised semi-regularly. As for a US based show, there is zero point in anyone funding a show like this until there is legalized online in the majority or all of the US. Otherwise its' a complete waste of money to produce.
Guest: you gotta have Matthew Hilger on. Just heard he was going to be the new Pokerstars VIP/Promotions guy and I've always been a huge fan of his from his Internet Texas Hold'em book and forum, but he never got very much mainstream coverage. Would be awesome to hear from him.
Would love to hear an update from Steve or other about Pokerstars and their push to expand in current countries and enter new ones (United States included). Maybe they can't comment too much about Canada and Australia, but they will about others (I was shut out of Bulgaria to move their and play on Pokerstars for example).
An overview about their challenges and strategy to make online poker available to everyone in the world.
You guys should get "big nick" he's a cool guy who plays in Columbus Ohio, was railing a buddy at final table bubble of a 1500 main event in Cincinnati and big nicks friends were there and seem cool, nick seems real nice and to crush these smaller events, he had heaps, also was chip leader I was told in that Borgatta chip scandal that they stopped with a couple tables left...seems like a cool guy
Big Nick is a friend of mine; good dude with a lot of personality and a very skilled tourney player who's very open about his thoughts and would make a great guest. Hopefully he's about to ship the Cinci Queen City Classic ME for $153k
