Crazy Mike may not be playing the big mixed games anymore (at least he isn't tweeting about them), but he is putting a ton of volume on wsop.com. Maybe get him to come on and give his opinion on the site and software and games since most of us can't play on the site.

I would just do this so he can stop asking. But warn us in advance so we can skip over this bit or just ignore that week's episode. I'm not interested in listening to 'the saw' talk about which tournaments he's min-cashed in recently or which new tournament fine print rules are wrecking poker (and the world) or which Bellagio Floor staff bothers him the most.

Welcome back.

I haven't listened to the new show yet so maybe you addressed this. How about a discussion of the issues associated with the geolocation technology used to verify that a US player is within the borders of the state where the games are licensed and it's potential negative impact on player pool growth.

It's been a very rocky start in NJ from a technology perspective, e.g., people located well within the borders not being recognized by the casino's software and needing to have their computer emit a wifi signal and having a strong enough wifi card to be able to pick up 3-6 other local networks for geolocation to work. Problems include people in sparsely populated areas not able to be located because of lack of other signals and players needing to buy a wifi plug in if they are using a PC instead of a laptop, among others. Not at all friendly to the casual or new player who may be willing to give the setup 2-3 minutes to work and then say wtf, it's too much work. Does not bode well for building a dynamic player pool. The only ones who will jump thru the hoops are probably other 2+2'ers, not the optimal group I want to see at all the other seats at my table.

I will also mention that Diamond Flush has been very active on the NJ internet poker thread and could not be more helpful to a lot of us. I think She would make an excellent guest b/c of her direct knowledge of the rollout situation and understanding of the technical challenges the NJ residents are facing, being one herself.

Adam, Mike I really enjoyed your interview of Alex Millar, I found the questions on game theory were very interesting and Alex's answer were insightful and intelligible. I'd love to learn more about the topic,
have you considered having guests that know a great deal about game theory optimal (GTO) and exploitative play. In particular, I would be curious to know where is the room for improvement for top-players these days. What type of information (currently unused because possibly intractable at human level), could be leveraged to come closer to GTO or improve exploitative play.

Maybe Will Tipton, David Sklansky or guys from University of Alberta would be good guests for that.

Cheers

I suggest having me as a guest. Notable poker accomplishments:

1. Has a hendon mob entry
2. Last live tournament was knocked out by Dan Idema
3. Winner of 2014 PCA main event

PM for why this is actually a good idea.

Bilzerian would be a great guest provided you remember to do (1) Story time and (2) How much ya got...

Over/under 5k and a glock 9?

If you have not, go back and listen to the Ben Tollerene and Ben Sulksy interviews. They don't go too much in detail but discuss it a little bit. EP 246 and 248.

I'm torn between wanting to have him on for the stories, but after reading about him punching hookers in the face I'm not so sure.

It wouldn't be easy interviewing someone knowing how much of an IRL scumbag they are I imagine.

And yet they interviewed lederer. Go figure.

That said, still need to resurrect story time and how much ya got.

Think about it for a minute and you may realise it's not quite the same.

I think dgiharris would be a cool guest. Kind've an everyman poker pro. He was on live at the bike friday night and he's got a pretty cool pg&c thread. Went from broke to playing histakes nl. Here's his thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...inder-1333131/

Roland de Wolfe / Neill Channing back in as they're the best guests of all time and it's been a while - they should be on every few months!

It'd be great to have Ragen on to talk about his foray into 2-7 TD / state of nosebleeds online & high roller live events / emergence of high stakes German crushers

Calvin Anderson (cal42688)

He has spent most of 2013 as the No. 1 ranked online MTT player and can recently be found playing high stakes 2-7 versus the likes of Phil Ivey who he took for over $40k a few days ago.

Lots of material with online/live MTT's and online/live(?) cash games.

Listened to the podcast for the last few years and decided to join the site today. Keep up the great work!

As a 58-year old player who played his first hand of poker at age 51, I would love to hear from succesful players who started late or had their first big success realatively late in life.

I would love to hear from Mike Sexton, who is still killing it in his 60s. He is still cashing in WPT events, including this year's 3rd place in the 2013 €3,000 + 300 No Limit Hold'em WPT Grand Prix. Not bad for for a part-time player!

Since he doesn't have the time to study that full-time players do, I wonder if he feels that he gets just as much watching, commenting on and talking to other players. On hand analysis, he and Tony Dunst seem to agree about 90% of the time. I wouldn't normally expect that from two players 40 years apart in age.

would be kinda cool to have a couple of the 2p2 pgc legends on all in one episode. I know you already had Matt Moore, which was a good interview, so maybe a couple more like dgiharris, Aesah, Mike Wolf, Ginger45, etc... in a pgc forum feature episode or something.

Maybe some of the wsop circuit grinders in another episode too when it gets near the national championship.

Love the pokercast, thanks for putting out great content Mike and Adam

That seemed to be the inference. A whole new younger regime. Doug dalton fired as well. Just the discussion at the event. No direct evidence.

The possibility that a 70+ year old man might decide to hang it up after 37 years on the job wasn't in the discussion?
