I'd really like to hear a segment on moving from online poker into live play at a casino, especially making the first transition into the poker room (since I know just about every online based player is a little uneasy when they sit at the felt for the first time).

I'd also like to hear a segment about Turning Stone's poker room and the type of strategy that is best to take down the newly founded $1/$1 NL game, $1/$2 NL game, and the $2/$4 limit game.

Ace-Jack, in my experience has given me the most amount of trouble to play, especially in the blinds following a raise. Here's an example: (MTT, 1/2 Field Remains)

Your in the BB holding AJ. You have 15 times the big blind. An average aggressive raiser with 30 BBs makes it 3x the BB in middle position and its folded to you... what's the best play?

Then say the flop is A-K-7... best play here?

Welcome to the forums. Rather than the radio show, specific these questions like these would be good to throw out on the forums. Your questions about AJ in tourneys would be good in the Small Stakes MTT forums and questions about Turning Stone maybe in Brick and Mortar.

I know it not going to happen for all sorts of reasons but I would like to hear Gary Carson. Hey at least he would be boring!!

Ed Miller
Ed Miller's wife

But seriously, I would love to hear interviews with people who played before 1980, legends like TJ Cloutier or Bobby Hoff. I'm also curious about what a tournament director like Matt Savage can add.

One thing I really liked about the old pre-2p2 show were the interviews with people in the "poker business" like Mori Eskandani, Calvin Ayre, Lee Jones, Jay Greenspan, Tim Peters who talked about poker publishing, television production, and online development. Any chance you could work some more of those in?

This may just turn into an hour and a half argument.

I think you should have the congressman who wrote the Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, or one of the major supporters of it. Perhaps you two could talk some sense into them.

This is a bit late, and a LOT of self-promotion, but a grudge match over 2 years in the making finally happened at the beginning of this month when I played EC10 HU4PARTIALROLLZ. There has been bad blood between us for a long time, and we are both polarizing figures in the forum. I had offered to play him a few times in the past, and he had declined previously, but he accepted around midway through the thread in link 1, and link 2 gets more into the match parameters and match itself, which I won pretty convincingly.

I can provide full HH's of the match, etc, also, if wanted/needed.

I have lost track of this thread but, I think an interesting guest would be Dr. Alan Schoonmaker.

Please give Ray Zee two minutes at the end of each podcast to talk about whatever the hell he wants to.

Excellent idea. I can't get enough of this stuff and the publicity can't hurt the cause.

Hi I do like your show. Interesting And informative.

I am still a beginner and I suppose many others will be as well. i wonder if it is possible to discuss items for begiiners as well.
Finely, could you guys become a bit less American-centered (and i mean this in the most pleasant way) and also focus on Europe and Asia?

Keep up the good work!

Hmm... how about something on the economics of B&M rooms - not just what they earn in rake (and the float on jackpot $... >.<) but their costs.. what's the profit margin per table? How does this compare to online?

Similarly, maybe some information on how tournament structures are formulated, designed, and refined - is it all guesswork, is there a TDA guide, has someone modelled it all out on a computer somewhere?

Chau Giang would be nice. some more stories from the past and his thoughts on online and where poker is headed.
04-30-2008 , 11:05 PM
I think Bobby Hoff, Brandon Adams and Rafi Amit would be good guests.

Dynasty to talk about his moving to Vegas and starting as a card player, and how he's doing now?
