Re: Shame on Adam Schwartz

Yo Adam,
If Roberto made the ME FT Burke would have gave him a few days off to ship it.

If I choose one day to get blinded off in the ME because I prefer spending the day with (multiple) Asian hookers, then that's my choice.

You can make fun of me on Twitter if you like.

And it's up to me to make peace with my God.

(especially if he was backing me)

Simple enough.

Lighten up, was a funny and clearly tongue in cheek tweet

The tweet, it was funny. It was the same statement on Jarrett's prioritization that many other people have made. It was simply made much more succinctly and amusingly. I don't believe Adam meant to persecute Jarrett's beliefs, just his questionable bankroll practices given his apparent fervent religious adherence.

nash is not entitled to respect just because he believes something.

i think adam's comments were very tame and you are just being a crybaby.

How am I being a "crybaby" just asking for an apology? Also, why don't you respect him? he hasn't hurt anyone. he hasn't done anything wrong. From your comments in the NVG thread i can see you aren't really willing to have an adult conversation, but I guess I will still try.

Because you are getting worked up and offended over a non-issue and something that isn't really a big deal.

You act as though respect is conferred onto someone by default. For myself, and many others, respect is earned. I am not going to automatically respect someone, especially one that I feel is making a rather foolish decision based on what I feel to be silly beliefs.

So essentially you don't respect him because he thinks differently than you? I might be getting that wrong, but from what you said, that seems to be the idea.

Having different beliefs isn't what earns him the lack of respect, it's the specific beliefs he holds. So yes, I don't respect beliefs that will compel you to burn money for no reason. I find that silly and terribly misguided. I don't think he's a matyr or a hero. He can have whatever beliefs he desires, but he's not going to automatically be conferred respect for having them.

Re: Shame on Adam Schwartz

A_Schupick, You have 19 posts so far in this thread - mad about a joke that is only offensive to people who are hypersensitive. This is why you are being called a crybaby.

Also, you are assuming that we, as a default, respect all people. How you see, feel, live, and exist in this world is not the same as everyone else.

A) I feel if i make a thread and ask someone to apologize i should also answer questions or comments people pose. Sorry if this isn't how you do things, but ti just feels appropriate to do such.

B) I don't think everyone does things how i do them, pretty far form that, i was just curious and asking why he doesn't respect someone, I think that's fairly harmless.

C) As per your own words, just because I got mad about a joke doesn't mean i am bad or something. You said not everyone thinks the way I do, but the same is true for you as well. So if you are going to call me out for things, I think it's also kind of hypocritical to then fall in the same trap, or at least seriously appears that way.

Re: Shame on Adam Schwartz

There's a big gap from knowing people view the world differently and believing all viewpoints are equally valid. I don't think what I said is hypocritical at all.

I also didn't say you were bad.

Re: Shame on Adam Schwartz

I have nothing against Nash following his religious beliefs, although I would not have personally decided to play the ME if my beliefs would force me to sit out on Day 5.

However, telling Adam that he should be ashamed and owes an apology is pretty over the top, IMO. He is also entitled to his opinion, and entitled to express it, and it wasn't overtly offensive in anyway. It was only offensive if you're trying to be offended.
