1. Forum Guidelines

Welcome to the companion forum to the 2+2 Pokercast presented by Pokerstars VIP Club. This forum is about including all listeners in the show on many levels. My co-host Mike Johnson and I will keep the show fluid and responsive to suggestions for improvement.

The goals of the podcast and forum are two-fold. The first is to entertain. Some of you have been loyal listeners to our previous poker podcast and Mike and I will do our best to keep things fun. The second reason is to make you a better poker player. Coaches, hand analysis and regular submissions from 2+2 authors are all part of the plan. We will be starting a weekly thread looking for discussion topics with the guest of the week, so if you have a hand you would like to hear someone like Two Plus Two authors Stoxtrader or David Sklansky provide analysis of your play then post it!

Please don't troll the forum with insults or excessive discussion about individual guests or hosts as we won't waste much time bringing out the banhammer. If you want to talk about gossip topics take it to NVG, we will do our best to keep the show and this forum on topic.

The Pokercast Invitational is a weekly password protected private tournament with a buy-in of $1 + 0.10. Our sponsor (Pokerstars VIP Club) adds $500 to the prize pool which is paid to 1 in 7 players.. All players that make the final two tables also receive a $50 clearable bonus in their account (top 18 or 16 depending on the game). This is credited manually and usually appears 48 hours after the tournament.

6. What games are played for the Pokercast Invitational?

Three out of the four Sundays of the month, the tourney is NLHE with a fairly quick blind structure. The fourth/last Sunday of the month is set aside for something other than NLHE. Most common is HORSE, but we've done Badugi and PLO as well.

The blind structure is fairly quick, but we get a very high number of participants for NLHE, and slightly less for HORSE/Badugi/PLO.

The pokercast league is a number of weekly tournaments presented by Pokerstars for Pokercast listeners. It is not endorsed, sponsored, guaranteed or otherwise supported by 2+2 publishing. We expect it to start May-ish 2009.
