That pony of yours is a shade slow my good man

Talking about slow pony, I had completely forgotten about this hand, but that might be my favorite televised hand to date. Nothing too crazy, but a big pot, the intensity in their eyes when they try to figuring out each other, etc.

Durr bluffs Ivey:

I'm sure I either watched or read some commentary from Barry on this, but can't find it now. Anyone else know where his or Eastgate's thoughts might be?

Here's Durr's take on things: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR6AHzamALs

Robl taking it down four times doesn't require much backstory. Just crazy odds plus funny commentary. Two great hands here.

Didn't Barry talk about this hand at length in a 2+2 Pokercast Podcast? I distinctly remember him talking about regretting not double-checking his suits before he folded (he said he should have checked to see how many A2s Durrrr could have had -- turns out his AA blocked two of them (of course) and there was one "offsuit" deuce on the flop, leaving only one remaining A2s possible).

He did, yes. Not sure what episode though.

Ok, I am positive I heard Barry talk about this hand (the one in our contest) on a Podcast. Thought it was the Pokercast. Maybe it was a different Pokercast than episode 66? Some chance it was a Life of Ivey episode or a PokerRoad episode. Small chance that I simply read Barry's comments about this hand somewhere. I know, I am no big help at all.

It was def later than #66

#127, #149 or #159 seem like options.

Was it the one where Barry talked about having his car stolen from valet parking? idk.

If this guy is tied on close: it will be re-posted for 2 days of OT.

A tiny bit from Eastgate here: http://www.pokerlistings.com/eastgat...h-stakes-37908

Something about aejones discussing the hand on Pokercast episode 97, but I don't have that episode anymore.

Funny thing is, I could have saved you the trouble. Now that I watch these two again, I should have voted for the first one. Maybe not as entertaining but definitely more interesting.

I remember watching that episode when it first aired. When Dwan says "HE had the best hand" at Eastgate, that was the moment I truly found new respect for the durrrrr game. Hard to believe that it took that long, as he was already an online legend.

It was also the moment when I knew I'd never go beyond a small-stakes rec, too.

Funny enough, I just watched this hand a few days ago. I started watching HSP over again while I'm working in the evenings. I totally spaced it was that hand (I had the same thought process as you) until you brought it up now.

I had almost the same reaction. I'm totally going to rise above the small-stakes rec-dom, tho.

Robl in this hand is worse than when Jennifer Tilly played that hand bad against Antonius on Poker After Dark
