England and Costa Rica would have the same points, goal difference, goals scored, goals conceded and England would go through in the jammiest fashion ever. Rooting for this and not just because I'm English, it would be hilarious.

Haven't been updating the sheet, but I'll do a review of the action and announce the first round of payouts after the games have ended (probably be a Friday task)

Real quick cliffs are;

gg Spain (LOL)
gg England (at least it wasn't on penalties)

The worst team currently is the Aussies, but Honduras could well over take them if they lose by more than 2 (as they have scored less goals)

Update on Prizes;

Best third placed team (group stage) - $10
(Croatia) as they have 3 points but the best GD with 0. Other contenders in action are;
Switzerland who would need to win by more than 2
Ecuador who if they draw and Switzerland win would then be on 4 points. Or if Ecuador win by 1 goal and Switzerland win by 3 or more
Actually there are a tonne of combos with alot of the 2nd and 3rd placed teams in their groups able to switch alot.
One other group to note would be Group G, where if Germany beat USA and Ghana win by 3 goals or Portugal smash Ghana by 6 they would go through.

Alot of teams in for this prize actually

First team to lose on penalties- $10
Definitely not England which is what I originally thought this would be earmarked for

Golden Boot Winner (team)-$10
(Netherlands) having scored 10 but France have a got 8 and a game in hand, Colombia are on 9 but I reckon the Teams from Europe look good and could be going far into the competition, and the Colombia game depends on the Suarez ban
Golden Boot Winner (player)- $10
Neymar is currently on 4 with 6 guys chasing (Rodriguez, Valencia, Benzema, Muller, RVP and Robben)
Worst Team during group stage- $20 (Cameroon) as long as Honduras lose by less than 4 goals and Bosnia don't lose by 6.....

I might have missed something but thats the jist of it- good luck to everyone (whatever result you are hoping for)

I have only just stumbled on Men In Blazers who apparently have been doing a podcast via Grantland for some time now. Very very funny duo with a fun, smart, and opinionated view of all things futbol.

They are doing a daily wrapup show at close of action on ESPN3 (if you are in the USA)... well worth watching. Also there are clips and shows on YouTube (search: meninblazers) check out Grantland podcasts, ESPN FC, or meninblazers.com
