yeah you are wrong. old yeller got rabies, and then was thrown in a pit of zombies who tore him apart (not without a fight!) and then ate him. This was considered controversial, because zombies in many zombie movies do not bother with animals, only humans.
I think later versions edited that part out, and he was shot..

Re: Pokercast Technical Issues - FAQ / Problem Reporting / Questions
Hi everyone...I PMed this to Johnny Douglas. He hadn't heard of this issue, but asked me to post it here to see if others were experiencing this issue.
I have an iPhone 3GS, OS version 3.1.3 (non-jailbroken). I downloaded a bunch (10?) episodes of the 2+2 pokercast directly to the phone through the iTunes phone app. Everything works fine for a while (a week or so), but eventually I lose *all* of the timing information for the 'casts. This includes in the podcast menu, and when I play the podcasts, the two times at the top are 00:00. (Those are the time elapsed and either the time left or total time). It's a pain, because I lose my place...
Everything worked fine when I first got the phone, but this has happened a few times in the past month or two, even after a restore of the phone. I think it is something with the phone, and not with the podcast, but I'm trying to track things down which is why I'm asking here.

Re: Pokercast Technical Issues - FAQ / Problem Reporting / Questions
Thanks for posting Shane. Hopefully someone can weigh in.
In the meantime I'll think about it, and see if I can come up with some theories.
Q: Are you listening on your computer in addition to your phone?
Q: Are you syncing frequently with your computer?
Q: Are you syncing with multiple computers?

No, Yes and No. I'm not sure how frequently I synch, but I've been doing it a relatively lot lately (got an iPad, so when I buy something for one, I like to update the other, etc...)
One other detail I forgot (in case people ask). I only had the 2+2 pokercasts on my iPhone, no other podcasts, so I don't know if others are affected in the same way. I'm currently experimenting with some other podcasts, but given the timing, I won't know for a week or so whether the others do the same thing.

Re: Pokercast Technical Issues - FAQ / Problem Reporting / Questions
Hi guys, hope someone can help me on my problem. I'm using Juice as my RSS Feeder (Version 2.2). Episodes 125-127 are all showing as partial both in the name and type of file. The files themselves are between 41,471 KB and 53,511KB. Windows will not open the files either. Thoughts?

Even after a reboot? The iDevices run out memory from time to time and need a reboot to clear out stuff left behind by 'crappy apps'.

Yep. Just tried rebooting as well as a clear of my cache/history/cookies.
Searching iTunes store for songs and such are no problem, as well as other podcasts. Only teh 2p2 pokercast causes the issue (it goes to my homepage as if I hit the 'home' button).

Yeah it's weird, I downloaded the episode with mizrachi/matros last week in this same manner and had no issues.

Could you post your OS version and Model? (Both can be found in Settings -> General -> About) I'll see what I can dig up.

This might be the issue. I hated almost every version of 2.2.x for reasons not unlike the ones you describe.
Are you able to upgrade it to 3.0? (I think it costs a few bucks). The store has changed significantly since then and that could be part of the problem.
Alternately, you could wait a few weeks and since iOS 4.0 will be a free upgrade for devices that support it (which yours does), you could just skip 3.0 entirely.
Maybe someone else with a 2.2.1 2nd generation iPod touch could weigh in?

Re: Pokercast Technical Issues - FAQ / Problem Reporting / Questions
Just wanted to say my issue posted earlier, about the timing info missing after a while, is something with my phone. That is what I thought and expected. I downloaded another podcast (from ESPN) and it had the same issue after a few days.
I also wanted to thank the people involved in the pokercast for the immediate replies (we communicated initially through PM, so if you don't see them ITT, don't think I'm being sarcastic). Love the show.
Thanks again, and hopefully after a somewhat bit software reinstall I can get back to enjoying the poker cast without worrying about losing my place.

Re: Pokercast Technical Issues - FAQ / Problem Reporting / Questions
Anyone know if there is a way to upgrade it via wifi? I cleared my HD and don't have a PC to connect it to w/o wiping out my music library.
