Pokercast Episode 91 - EPT London with Neil Channing

Live from the Two Plus Two Studios, October 9th 2009 - The feature guest this week on the Two Plus Two Pokercast is 2008 Irish Poker Open Champion Neil Channing. Neil sat down with Mike and Adam just off the floor at the EPT London to talk about his Irish Poker Open win, his life leading up to it, the UK poker scene, his staking enterprise and several other interesting topics. Aaron Jones aka aejones is also featured on the show this week giving a live breakdown of Patrik Antonius making a call with king high and taking down an almost half-million dollar pot. Mike and Adam also discuss forum static and of course gives away the password for the October 11th Poker Stars VIP Club Invitational for Pokercast listeners.

Nice show, I enjoyed the discussion about the PA vs KoK hand.

Just wondering when did you guys decide not to mention the PCL anymore?

Finally satisfied the one-trick pony. You now need to come up with some different non-Brit requests for the show.

I'll keep my mouth shut now

Great interview with Channing, like you said, he could have gone on talking all day if you didn't stop him.

Wow, what an ignorant comment about bipolar disorder being an excuse for people who are a-holes. I'd expect that from some uneducated redneck, but not you guys.

Very tempted to boycott the show after listening for years.

I'm sure Adam will be happy to speak for himself and address your concerns but I will simply add that we each have our own opinions and our own stories to tell on the program. I have never met Barry Shulman in my life.

Incredible how you completely missed my point.

I didn't even mention Barry Shulman in my post. I referred to the comment about bipolar disorder being an excuse for a-holes. You guys also mentioned Dutch Boyd as an example. Well, first of all, do you guys think those two are the only bipolar people on the planet? You're making a very broad generalization about a very real illness that affects millions of people.

In case you care to inform yourselves (something you might have considered doing before broadcasting your ignorant comments), you can find a pretty good article on bipolar disorder on wikipedia:

incredible how you completely missed by point. My point was I didn't a make comment on the subject at all. Just as you don't like all bi-polar people being lumped in together as you have every right to complain about, referring to Adam and I as if we have one mind and one mouth is just as bad. Even after I politely corrected you, you proceeded to attribute the comments to me four times in the above post.

Alan,

First, I apologize if my comment offended you at all.

Second, I did say that I know nothing about it and that my experience with it is two people that both are considered by many to be a-holes. It was a comment on the two individuals (and using it as an excuse), not the disorder in general.

If it were that said that all bipolar sufferers act like a-holes or anyone who acts like an a-hole is bipolar then I could understand your rant, but all Adam said was he witnessed Barry Shulman acting bizzarly one time and heard unsubstantiated rumors that he was bipolar. No reason to get your knickers in a twist.
