Live from Las Vegas, July 1st 2009 - The Pokercast crew has invaded Las Vegas and the 40th annual World Series of Poker to continue our coverage of this prestigious event. We were able to track down the man, the legend, David Sklansky to chat about how his series is going so far and even get a play by play account of his recent home invasion. Ilari Sahamies, better known as "Ziigmund" online also graces our make shift studio at the Palms Place for a feature interview to talk about his WSOP experience, his early days in poker involving some pool hall battles with Patrick Antoinus and of course the sick cash game action over at the Bellagio. Chris “DeathDonkey” Vitch was kind enough to sit in during the last segment and provide some invaluable tips and strategy for deuce to seven players. Mike and Adam also talk some forum static, WSOP news and of course gives away the password for the July 5th Poker Stars VIP Club Invitational for Pokercast listeners.

He played durrrr yesterday PLO HU, and has said number of times before he won't play him HU anymore, but has still decided to play him occasionally.

This has probably been my favourite pokercast. Sklansky made it for me.

I gotta thank the Pokercast team for playing my song... I about fell out of my seat. Awesome episode!

Great Sklansky interview.

Without having read the background information in detail, Saura seems like a person of highly dubious character. "I only lied to him about my age and my background." Oh, so basically everything? I don't like the downplay there. It is unfair that Sklansky's reputation was besmirched by a situation she caused, as I doubt most men are going to able to resist the wiles of a young lady in that scenario, regardless of whether she's hyper-intelligent or semi-******ed (as both claims have been made, and I have no idea what the truth is). Take this with a grain of salt, as it is a relatively uneducated opinion.

The book should simply be called "Thoughts That Might Be Useful".

I think Tedtodd was referring to Sklansky and the robber.

Yes, most people assume the older guy controls the younger girl, but very often the opposite is true. This is probably for several reasons, including:

1. The young girl is more desirable than the older guy, therefore she has more "leverage" in the relationship

2. Via selection, the assertive young girls pursue a certain type of guy she has some control over.

Unfortunately, none of these reasons hold up in court....

So, is Sklansky going to verify your identity?

So Sklansky invites a 16 year old girl inside his house that shows up on his doorstep.

Proceeds to want to buy house with 16 year old.

Says 'But I didn't realise she was 16 year old runaway' - nice excuse buddy.

I DON'T BUY IT SKLANSKY. Deep down you knew, you just chose not to know. And you certainly didn't go out of your way to figure anything out.

What kind of 'relationship' was this WHEN SHE WAS a 16 year old runaway??? OH BUT YOU DIDN'T KNOW RIGHT SKLANSKY.

Your understanding of the situation is flawed, Saura was apparently a common fixture with David in Vegas card rooms, many players knew her and nobody thought she was younger - on the contrary - everyone thought she was older than the 20 years that she claimed. Even Mason and his wife knew and liked Saura, they were all shocked to find out she was a 16 year old runaway. Once the truth was discovered the relationship stopped immediately, David did not intentionally have a relationship with an underage girl, she trapped him, not the other way around, Saura readily admits this, Of course now that Saura is older and wiser she knows what she did was wrong.

continue wearing your tinfoil hat if you don't believe this is the truth.

Her identity isnt a secret, in fact she was at the WSOP this week saying hello to old friends who knew her back when she was living with David (7 years ago? its before I lived in Vegas).
