ah.. I see. My misunderstanding. That should work, can't be guaranteed, but not a terrible idea. If the logger is logging the windows event queue, it could see the mouse click though... If someone is really gunning for your stars account, and has access to your machine, it's going to be hard to stop them.
I wouldn't log into my banking/stars account on a public terminal.. It's tough to stay ahead of the thieves...

All, thanks for the praise and such, and sorry we didn't get to some of your questions for me in the threads. I think I "expanded" on my answers more than most do.
Also wanted to thank Mike and Adam for running such a great interview. It was a fun show to be on.

I don't listen to many of the pokercasts, but I listened to your segment twice today, trying to catch everything you said.
Best pokercast I've ever heard...you are a certified champion in my book.

Again in my original post I have already explained that regardless of where you "defocus" there is always an active window in Windows. Windows Desktop has a handle Window (hWnd) just like any other application so even then it will still log your keypresses even though you "think" you are not typing into an active editbox (I'm positive that this is true but since I have not done any Windows programming I cannot say with absolute certainty. However if the Desktop does have a hWnd then it should be very easy to capture keystrokes from it).
My first post in this thread was just to warn other users that his advice is possibly harmful to spread as truth since it's the equivalent of an old wives' tale. I have nothing against Bunner or whoever said it and I understand that they were trying to be helpful but it's not a good idea to spread this as some sort of truth to other poker players who are not very computer knowledgeable because it puts the players into the mindset that, "Even though this is a public terminal that could have a keylogger, I heard on the 2+2 PokerCast that as long as I do a certain trick, it'll be okay," when almost 99% of the time it will not. If a computer has been compromised with a keylogger your best bet is to NOT USE the machine.

Re: Pokercast Episode 41 - 2+2 Young Guns Special
I think the idea was to click somewhere in the same window to make the password field lose focus, type a bit, and then get back to to the field to finish typing the password. The idea is that the keylogger sees the same hWnd as long as you stay on the same window. Just tested that with the PS login screen, but doesn't work (clicking somewhere else keeps the focus on the pw field.

I just got to that part of the interview, and paused it to look for it in the forum, and all I find is this without the suits...pretty worthless IMO.

Re: Pokercast Episode 41 - 2+2 Young Guns Special
For those of you who use FireFox - here is an anti-keylogger:
KeyScrambler
I found this over in the software forums at one point. The free version just works in FireFox (and IE I think), but the first level of pay version works for many major online poker sites.
I'm def. not a software or internet security expert, but I figured I'd throw this into the mix.
Oh, and the show was awesome last week - I just started listening to this week's.
