Haven't listened to a 2+2 pokercast in a while, in for Rich Ryan.

Listening with headphones has got much easier since you've started using Skype for guests.

I know Ross had some haters last week but I feel I'm on the same level as him PLO-wise so I found his questions very relatable. Maybe some nerves at first talking to a wizard? Don't sweat it. Keep it up guys.

It definitely should have been mentioned since 48 in VPIP was close to standard according to that site. Even Phil Hellmuth had 48 in VPIP.

The more interesting stat to me was the ratio between VPIP and PFR. Guy Laliberte (61/8), Dan Harmetz (48/8), Dan Shak (40/3), Phil Ruffin (52/2), Bob Safai (54/9), Bob Croak (35/8), Jerry Buss (30/3), Fred Chamanara (31/7), Julian Movsesian (52/9), Dennis Phillips (37/8) and Alan Meltzer (54/6) have very wide differences between their VPIP and PFR numbers.

None of their stats surprise me, since those players were largely the whales of the game, and their loose-passive or weak-tight styles would fit such a profile. Although some of them have had some tournament success, these are largely people who built their rolls through other means, not poker.

But the strange ones to me are Erick Lindgren (47/7) and John D'Agostino (36/6). They appear to be the only pros whose ratio of VPIP to PFR is greater than 5*.

Does this surprise anyone? Or did these two players build their career taking a passive approach to counter hyperaggressive games, and thus, they fit right in among the HSP lineup? Yeah, LOL sample size, but it was interesting to see those two names having similar stats to the large group of rich whales.

I suppose it would have been interesting to see if their WTSD and street-by-street AG stats as well, but that's just being greedy.

Finally, looking at all of those names, I remember all of them but one: Julian Movsesian. I know by the chart that he played only in Season 7, and I was even able to find a screen shot of him.

Still no idea who he is or any hands he played in.
